Ok general consensus..i will be doing spa every year hopefully and just then spirited driving.Standard coupe, possibly with remap eventually.
Are oem quality discs upto the job? Should i go for drilled and grooved etc.

Have people used solids and yellowstuff pads fine on a track?Light track use etc

drilled are pointless and if not done properly, can cause cracks

Grooved are best, but are only worth it if you're after high braking performance

plain discs are easiest to live with, and of course, they are quiet in use

I've often said that a good brake setup is 80% pads, 15% discs, 5% fluid

Some decent pads (Pagid Blue?) on decent-quality plain discs will be fine for everyday use

However, if you're intending to go on a track, I would never use plain discs - they will overheat too quickly

All drilled discs suffer cracks, even Porsche 997 models, which have original factory discs fitted.

Cracks are not a cause for concern though unless they are large, or can be felt with a finger nail, then they can be dangerous.

But i agree with nigel, Grooved discs are the better choice, drilled do look nice though laugh

I wouldn't go so far as to say drilled are pointless, the holes are there for a reason and they work well.
In fact for your style of driving the drilled disc may be a quieter option?

I agree that it's mainly down to the pads, a good quality pad even on a standard disc will give much better performance than a grooved disc on it's own.

If i were you, I would go for DBA grooved discs and pagid 4-2-2 brake pads, give good performance for everyday use and would stand up to an occasional track day
