Another one of my mates has introduced a work colleague to coupes and naturaly the guy wants one.

on there lunch break later and asked me to give them a bell.

It sounds like a good motor, fsh etc etc and looks tidy.
I got to the price! I said 'as its NOT a plus is there any movement in price?'
he said 'it is a plus' i said 'no i can assure you its a late run out spec 20vt6 and a plus has the side skirts front lips and recaro seats not just a 6 speed box and a push button start'.
his reply was he has someone from Fiat come down and confirm it is a runout Plus....
I explained it is a late run out fiat coupe and its not a plus and said I would bet him 1 million pounds that the guy in the background saying its defo a + doesn't know what he is talking about, he wasn't being arsey at all but he wasn't having it.
He did say there is room on price and im going to go down with them shortly to check for the usual coupe problems.
I advised the salesman he may get the odd call from people saying its not a plus aswell so feel fee to ring haha.

seen it the other day as i work next to is garage. really nice coupe and the guy is sound, rare colour too.

it is a clean model, and if the history is there then it should be worth the money!
but some one put him on the right line!!

My old one this and yes it is deffo a 20 VT6 not a plus as described. Was a cracking car I owned it for 3 years without problem and had it serviced and maintained with WiganPaul @ James Twist in Lowton Wigan (Was a member on here back then). He bought it off me in 2006. I have posted a heads up re number of owners as i was the 2nd owner and to check history/mileage carefully as it doesn't appear to have done much since I sold it.

Nah he doesn't need reporting he seemed a nice guy its an easy mistake to make and Its a good bargaining tool to get the price down lower.

Considering Steamer was selling his LE for that money, I know what i'd be going for and it wouldn't be that 20vt6.

get the chassis number off him, do an Eper enquiry (where it will come up as a std variant), print the page off and show it to the seller.
Then start negotiating down ....

Well it sold already so it couldn't have been bad at all.. Aparantly a guy snapped it up from london! Dunno what discount he got I'd be suprised if he paid over 3k.

guy who owns garage is a tight ass when it comes to price. at least its going back on the road
