Hi,

I've been looking for a new induction kit for my 20VT. I have a GT28RS turbo with a straight induction pipe (SIP).
Currently, I've fitted a K&N 57i kit on it, but it's simply too loud, and I don't like all the stories about the oil getting sucked out of the filter onto the MAF.

After using the "search" on this forum, I ordered a Blitz C1 SUS, which has a 6" opening. I want to use a velocity stack from 6" to 3" in order to fit it, but these parts are very hard to get in The Netherlands. I'm going to make a 2500 KM holiday trip to Italy in 2 weeks, so I need this new filter pretty quick. (which is my fault).
The guy from Blitz told me yesterday that "5 day delivery" became "7 weeks delivery" because of the tsunami that hit Japan.

Ok, whatever, so what's next: RAMair jestream or ITG... i guess the ITG Maxogen series should fit?
The RAMair that Barbz used/sold is a JS-108, which doesn't exist anymore. Probably there's a new model or something, but RAMair is simply impossible to order in NL (although shipping from UK is an option)..

Instead of RAMair, someone told me that ITG has very high quality filters. The Maxogen series look like the RAMair jetstream, but I was wondering if anyone here uses a Maxogen filter.. als which size?
This is there line-up: http://www.itgairfilters.com/airfilters.asp?section=maxogen

ITG is easy to order here, so I'm curious.
Thanks!

I use one of them, but not on a coupe - seems to work well enough.

I would not worry too much about which one you pick as long as it's a dry one for the coupes MAF and made by a decent brand. I had an apexi filter on my coupe that I was very happy with....

Ok - good luck.

I think it will likely look nice, cost a lot, and give little gain. Particularly on cars that are running an FMIC and shorter induction route. smile

Apexi mate. Highly recommended and very good
Not loud until you nail the throttle, the jet fighter sound is then very sweet

The Apexi Cone is very hard to get in NL, and I'm running out of time... sort of. A friend of mine ordered the Apexi in the USA for his Coupe.
Although every filter has it's pro's and con's, I read some people aren't that positive about the Apexi. (JohnS for example). However, I don't know why exactly.

I can get an ITC Maxogen JC60/78 within 5 days, so I think I'll order one today. The company I called told me the Blitz C1 SUS can suck up loads of dust etc, and asked me why I didn't go for an ITG...

I tried a couple of "performance" panel filters a K&N57i and finally the Apexi Cone...

The Apexi is a great bit of kit, looks good under bonnet, is not "Raspy" and sounds good when you open the throttle.

Well, seems like everyone is talking about this Apexi cone, so actually I want one "now", but I've been googling for 2 hours without any result.
I cannot find a webshop or store who has this filter in stock (don't even bother NL), and I don't know which part/model number to get, because Apexi doesn't show specifications on their website. If I need 80mm, I don't know which partnr to get.

The tuning company that sells ITG called me this morning and told me the ITG Maxogen JC60/78 should fit, as a direct replacement of my K&N 57i. It's in stock, delivery tomorrow.

If it's that diffcult to get an Apexi, and this simple to get an ITG Maxogen, I'll take the ITG for now. I'll let you guys know what the difference is between by 57i. smile
BTW, the Maxogen JC60/78 is 79 GBP (90 Euro's).
