Hi,
Does anyone know of the best way to fix the Group buy, alloy speaker rings to the existing grills? The passenger one fits fine as a press fit, but the one for the drivers door keeps falling off.
I'd glue it on but would like to still be able to remove it for speaker access.
Any thoughts?
Cheers

Mine are glued on and they stayed on for a few years, until this year.

Passenger one fell off a while ago though and I haven't got around to sticking it back on yet.

You will be able to remove it, but if it's decent glue, the ring and speaker grill will have to be removed together.

Take the speaker grill off first, then attach speaker ring to the grill BEFORE fitting to the speaker itself.

Hi,
Thanks for the advice; I've taken the Grill off several times, with and without slivers of Tape to build it up and press fitted the Ring, but every time I refit them to the door the ring just pops off again grr.
It looks like it will have to be Glue then.
Cheers

I spent ages with this also.

Secret is to remove the grills entirely from the speaker cover, then press on the speaker ring to the grill, then refit grill to speaker cover and re-tab the grill back onto it.

Mines has been fitted like this (properly) for around 4 weeks and stayed on.

I'll try one more time, doing it as you suggest, before I reach for the UHU!

you can get the sticky rubber stuff that comes with after market speakers, for the protective covers onto outter area of the facia of the speaker (you know what I mean) but I am sure I have seen some wheres this in seperate packets, might be All-Frauds or somit like that ??
