Hey Guys, Just finished respraying my coupe and got it back on the road yesterday, its my first full respray so Im really happy with the results. I bought it about a month ago as spares or repairs. Its n/s rear sill and rear wing where rotten through so it needed a bit of fabricating and welding and also needed a replacement clutch. It was originally silver but decided to go white as I think they look great in white and chose ford frozen white. I now need to get it lowered and then need to decide if I am going to keep the standard alloys and refurb them or get an aftermarket set. Any suggestions?

Looks lovely mate and great choice of colour.
Like others have said, refurb the alloys. I would of been tempted to de-badge the bonnet too iif I were getting a respray.

Looks great . Really fresh and sporty. To make it look even better: Lower it. Black alloys (standard or OZ Ultralegerra ) Pininfarina badges in black. Black petrol cap. And to make it look totally amazing - do the roof black like the Bumblebee Coupe: . Anyone got anymore pics? And the icing on the cake would be a black M3 lip spoiler

Leave the roof - really doesnt work on a Coupe IMO. At the moment it looks like it could be a OE car.
Coupe now sold!

This could be an excellent opportunity for you to finally get a top coat on your coop Fran, if you ask nicely. Looks good Dan.

Cheers for all the comments guys.
I cant remember the last time I bought a car that I could just jump in and drive, but this has been my best save yet I think. It would definantly been a waste to scrap or strip it.
I was going to debadge the bonnet as I debadged the rear but wanted to keep it looking factory so instead painted the badge red.
I like the idea of black or grey standard alloys (and not white like a few friends have suggested :-s). A few guys in work think the standard wheels are awful and are telling me to fit 19" wheels but i think that would ruin the look of the car.
I think it had been damaged repaired before as where the rear quarter had rotted it was full of heat marks so i think it had had pins welded onto it at some point and been pulled out.
But onwards and upwards. Ill try get it lowered asap and then speak nicely to my dear friend Fran who I believe has a set of freshly restored set of standard alloys which are powdered coated in anthracite lying in his loft gathering dust!

I've never liked the standard wheels. I'd defo invest in a set of 17's or even 18's. Oh, very nice job by the way.

I actually have a litre or so of vauxhall metallic black paint lying about in my garage from when my dad painted a car recently so that could be getting used soon :-) Or i could add a touch of white to try lighten it a little. Another for black wheels, hope to see this in person one day spinning about, looks really nice in White Where about in scotland are you Zonta?
