I've been spending so much time on it, I struggle to get to anything else over weekends. There's always something that I need or want to do and in a year of ownership, instead of getting bored, I just love it more and more.
I know some people have had some really bad luck with their cars and will probably not return to the Coupe fold soon, but how far would you go before you'd throw in the towel?

i think i probably qualify as one of those who's had no luck but bad luck with this coupe - but i keep going back for more; i love the car, the forums, the community etc.
currently my latest engine is with Barbz and i'm excited as a kid at christmas waiting to get it back and fitted to my car....no doubt there'll be other issues it throws up, but i can't see me getting rid somehow

I've said it before and I'll say it again... The Fiat Coupe is not a car. It's a lifestyle choice!

This is my 3rd and I feel quite comitted this time. Worst case scenario is a new engine then that's an excuse to forge it! Altough granted it would sit till money was there for it. The up side of it not being my daily driver. I just think it's such a nice place to be and it's dateless looking ( in my opinion)

You know........ I haven't loved a car as much as this since my first car when I was 17. Don't get me wrong, I've had porsches, BMW's in the past, and some of them i truly loved, but Since I got my coupe about 8 months ago, I've fallen in love with driving again. I think it's "quirks" make it special.

I know what you mean, I've had the car coming on 3 years, always feels like an uphill battle. Been pushed to the edge a few times.. When the gearbox went bang... That was a moment. When the phase sensor went 1 year after doing the belts... While it was in for a re-spray. When some one went into the back of it... But after all of that... I just can't seem to take it apart to scrap it. It's pushed me into a financial state also... Ive raise overdrafts, borrowed money ect to keep it going.. Now it's nearly finished as a mint example, after the flea map and the turbo issue sorted, she should be fine in all areas... The only thing that may make me get rid of her is a ditch or a bender that means she can never come back on the road... Where at that point I may just buy another one. But thing thing I find funny, as you mentioned biggendz, a quick 2 min job turns into.. Well, 3/4 hours plus!! Just went out to check things over.. Ended up sorting out my body panels, chaining some not so nice looking screws for some new shiney ones and sorting out those problems you always put to one side!! Love it!! Long live te fiat coupe

I am looking forward to driving mine for the first time in almost two years. Even though I have been without a coupe for this period I have always had an eye on what was going on here. How come yours has been off the road for a couple of years Easy? Nice to know it's going to be back on the road soon though Bet you can't wait!

I've been too and from the Coupe many times but always find myself coming back.
There's something about the engine note, the interior, the abstract styling, the power and just the fact the car has character that no other car has that keeps me coming back.
Sure they're not the most reliable of cars but my god when they're running well they are absolutely fantastic and nothing has put a smile on my face more.
Every time I push my foot down on that loud pedal an enormous smile hits my face. Long live the Fiat Coupe!

I'm another one who seems to have had no luck with the car so far, I have wanted one since I passed my test etc, had the car almost 2 years, been on the road 8 months! But when it does work, all is forgiven... instantly. I have been fortunate enough to drive lots of nice/fast cars over the years, including a few other Italian cars beginning with "F". But there something about the Coupe, so much character, style and go, and of the few of you I have met, I can honestly say you seem a... erm... great bunch. In fairness, if it wasnt for all the help and advice on here over the last couple of years, mine would have probably have gone quite some time ago. As has been said before, the garage time can be very rewarding and just makes me enjoy the car more and more, enough to risk a 500 mile journey across the channel on my own.... I must be mad! Restricted to the motorway on the way there, then I get a passenger/lookout for the B roads on the return journey! Cant wait!
