I think the yellow connector can need replacing even if there are no obvious signs of burning. Cut the 2 wires going in either side and crimp together (my VIS had a 3rd redundant wire).
I had 2 instances where my pump didn't prime:
The first was when a tiny hole appeared in the top of the Walbro, out of which petrol leaked and caused the power-connector to come loose.
The second was when the inline fuse on the power cable to the pump from the battery melted in it's fuse holder.

I should check if I even have a tow hook. Necessary if you go on a track day! Never looked inside my tool box.

This is an idea for kenny to check. Ross

Did you get a multimeter on it yet?
Ross
p.s. how much fuel did you put in at the fuel station? Have you tried re-setting the ecu i.e. disconnecting the battery for 30-45mins?

No meter on it yet, popped into my work and found an old school fluke that I hope just needs batteries which I'm going to try.
I put in about 30 litres , pain in the chuff if I need to change the pump again!
Not tried the battery off yet will do that once I get the spawn of Satin to sleep.
Problem being now the battery is flat the car was deposited nose first up the drive so i can only try to jump start when the neighbours drive is empty!
I don't imaine booster packs would have enough guts to turn over a coupe?

Um, did you by any chance use the tie-down and not the actual tow-eye? That lives in the toolkit and is screwed onto a spike through one of the holes in the bumper when required... Top prize
