OK, talk me out of this....
I'm basically falling in love with the 350Z. I'm looking at changing my car in the next year, and the 350Z just seems to be shouting out.
Biggg power. Great handling. Comes in a lurid colour. Rare enough to be interesting.
Has anyone had any experience of the 350Z, good or bad?

I used to have a 350z convertible and there is nothing that i can say that would talk you out of it A bit thirsty on petrol, you have to take it by the scruff of the wheel and drive it, not huge inside, early models are plasticky, there are better sounding V6s out there, but it still sounds good from 4k onwards, won't give you a turbo shove, but is quickwithout feeling it, but you can easily out drag bigger more powerful BMWs (I expect) - that's about it... Buy one

I had an MGF (hence the name) which didn't really enjoy the snow. In a way, though, I think it's part of the fun

I've not owned one but do like them. The only negitives I've noticed was that it sounds wet, the insurance quote I got seemed very high (it was only a quick CTM.com and on a 08 car) and to get the best looking 350z need to be a 07 onwards = higher tax. (313bhp, bonnet bulge, nicer wheels etc...) 350z forum

ahem , well i bought one and love it
You dont get the turbo shove as the power is linear , however they are quicker to 60 than the coupe due to the RWD. handling wise much much better. 276 bhp up to 2006 then engine comes as 296 bhp from then on with a few 313bhp variants
mines a 2005 gt4 edition which is basically the Rev- up 296 bhp engine with a few other bits.
Mines been really realiable, prices have come down a lot in 12 months
you wont be disappointed with one

You do get bolt on turbo kits for these if you ever need more power. Reliable too and gives you around 450bhp.

You can't just pop on another 150bhp and expect all to be fine, the brakes would come in for serious questioning with that extra power, does it also have a LSD? Great cars though, not much to worry about, BUY/ENJOY. end. x

The 370Z Roadster looks tasty. Evo compared it to the Audi TTS Roadster and BMW Z4 sDrive 35i, and the Nissan came out top.

I don't think many cars sound their best with stock exhaust. My friend has a Nismo exhaust on his 350z and it sounds great

I do quite them in that Copper colour..... Them or the GTV6 are probably the two closest comparables to the Coupe I suppose for the money. (Though the Coupe is way roomier / better looking etc etc)

I like them and have also considered getting a 350z but the insurance is ridiculously high compared to similar performance cars. Im 30 with 8yrs NCB but a Manchester postcode. Quotes for me are
350z £1350 which is the same league as a Porker 997 and BMW M3. I can get insured on a Focus RS for less than £900 so the 350z insurance costs seem overpriced to me.

I saw a lovely 370Z today, what made it was the colour, a fantastic metallic sprint blue. Really showed off its curves.
