hi all i brought my coupe a few months back and i was told it was a 20vt and so did the dvla and insurace company did thats what shows up on the records, i no it sounds stupid but i think its a turbo cos i can feel the kick. how ever arter looking at other coupes,i noticed on the rocker cover they say 20v turbo and mine says 20v.. so im unsure now if it is, also the guy i got the car from said it had a new engine put in, so is it possible that it is a 20v non turbo engine put in and there have put the turbo back on from the old engine?? and i also cant seem to find the turbo lol or i may be looking in the wrong place so if any one can point out any facts to tell ,that would be great thanks guys.

It's possible that he's just changed the cam cover for a 20v one as I think they'll be interchangeable . They can easily crack if they're tightened up without using a torque wrench and I imagine there not be as much a demand for a 20v cam cover compared to a 20VT one.

When I cracked my original 20vt rocker cover I replaced it with a 20v one.

I must admit Custard accelerated well from low revs on Sunday.

If the "kick" is after 4k rpm then it could be the VIS i guess.

What do the B pillars say

What are these "low revs" of which you speak?

Has it broken down yet? If yes,its a turbo if no,its an, na or vis

Can you do 100mph in 3rd?

Is there a big whirly spinny thing hanging off the front of your engine?...

Does it have turbo wheels? Does it make a whoosh sound when you gun it?

BLOODY hell loads of posts lol sorry guys been at work all day just got back i will up load a pic in a min i think its a 20v cos i put the reg in on car checker and thats what it said. and i no i should be able to tell but the car seems quick as anyway but i cant hear a whoosh as the exsurst system is lound lol.

sorry boys im think as fu*k i cant even see how to post pics up on here the log book says a 20v so i guess it is as this is the only one i been in i cant really tell but it dose seem to kick but im also gutted its not the 20vt as i do really love theres cars so im going to re think my opions now and maybe get a 20vt

not bad for 550 pounds lol ....oh thts a shame dont understand why the chap i brought it from said it was i would love to have a spin in a 20vt they must shift as i thought mine did lol
