yea it has was like it when i brought it just out of intrest if i was to buy a 20vt can i use my other one as a spare of parts or are the 20vt different i mean doors and stuff will be the same but gear box starter motor that sort of stuff ?

most of the parts like doors , bumpers , bonnet , boot lid , seats , lights you would be able to put on 20vt .

Insurance will be massively higher, running costs higher, performance will be noticeable but if you're excited by a 20V N/A I'd say stick with it till you're used to it lol!

yea well befor i got this a i did a quote on a scooby and it was 83 pound a month and on my coupe its 118 pound a month but my insurance company bell thinks it a 20vt so i need to tell them asap. but to be fair now i no its not a turbo i feel dispointed in the car and it dont feel the same lol

Something is badly wrong here.

Firstly, the person you bought if from has mislead you, your car is not a 20V Turbo, but an early 20V non turbo.

Secondly, if your insurance company have insured it as a 20V Turbo, then presumably that is what the VIN is registered as, and/or what is registered on the national database they use etc.

Thirdly, if the V5 details the car as a 20V Turbo, then either you have been given a different car with false plates on it, or the same car with a 20V non turbo engine, gearbox, wheels etc swapped over (I doubt its the latter)

First things first, check the VIN numbers match from the V5 to the car, possibly do some kind of vehicle check etc, to see if whatever car your plates came from has ever been stolen/scrapped.

hi all yea i spoke to my insurace company and it is down as a 20v not a turbo but the only reason i said that was my previous insurance company admrial witch are the same company as bell (i think)

AND Admrial said the car was a 20vt this is where it all started from im 25 with no no claims and been driving for 6 years is anyone else apaying the same as me ? i mean i cant belive the scooby was nearly £40 a month cheaper its crazy

These cars aren't cheap to insure.
I'm 35, full no claims, London based, street parking, insured no claims and it's costing me £1300 a year.

Saying that, they are sooooo much fun to drive.

The question still hasn't been answered as to whether the B pillars say '20v' or '20v turbo'

so it aint just me being done over then is nice to no tin some ways lol !! i just dont understand why scoobys are alot cheaper but hey. but coupes are lovey cars to drive i had mine 5 months now and i still smile every time i drive it.. and i dont need music neather as the exsuraust system on it witch was fitted a week befor i got the car was £400 quids worth same price i paid for the car nearly lol but she dose make a sweet ripping /gurggling sound witch to me there is no other car witch sounds like it
