as he has no specific feedback/traders forum i thought i'd make this thread as a special thanks to him for what he's done for my car recently, and more for the level of service and commitment that he's shown me - who until this engine was worked on was a complete stranger to him.

as you'd expect his work is top notch, but he's really gone the extra mile to help me in true forum fashion. now i don't know all the techie details of what he did or why, but i can say this - when its run in it's going to be fantastic, if judging it by the way it already runs now!! it appears that there will be almost zero lag and, although i'll lose some grunt at the top end i rarely get anywhere near that anyway, so it'll be very driveable in all conditions.

Barbz, a heartfelt thanks from me - along with JBT you saved this car, and enabled me to continue the one-sided love affair with my coupé love

I'd be interested to know what he has done to your engine Proccy - did he pull it apart & tweak it - any new bits added along the way - e.g. engine block painted purple ? laugh cool

Barbz is a top bloke. I have been very impressed with the work he does, fantastic level of service and he does go the extra mile.

I even got a passenger ride in the green monster when I was there last.

Barbz is fantastic. Know him quite well & he's always there for advice and a bit of a chat. He will always help you and never forces you to have something done if not needed. Barbz, you are a genius!!!

Great to hear you are back on the road Proccy, your car was parked up next to mine a few months ago at JBTs house, I felt guilty driving mine away.

Good work to all involved.

I have had considerable work done on my coop, including 2 rounds of headwork, full forged configuration, new suspension setup, new brakes and discs, new radiator, new oil cooler and re-work of all the pipework. Not cheap mind you..

As it is well known the work itself is in its own league of excellence, however for me its the personal touch, the extra care and attention to detail.

Many times, Barbz will make you aware of other issues and at times fix them at next to nothing cost or no extra cost.. I believe he does this as he cares more about the coop, then the pennies he will gain.

Thats why some people call him 'The Legend' and his coop the 'Green Hornet'

To add to this:-

I met Barbz early this year, and the way he conducts his business is second to none,.
I said i needed a fully forged engine capable of pushing the 500 mark on road fuel and i had 1 week to do it.
He dropped everything and made sure it was done.

Just like proccy he had closely followed my many misfortunes and was keen to get me back in a reliable car.

I have worked closely with him ever since trying to push our cars and the problems it causes along the way.

Hes Extremely enthusiastic based on years of pushing a tempramental engine to reliability and performance.

Goes way beyond the call of duty to the point of hitting his own pocket to ensure that what you ask for you get.

I wouldnt trust anyone else to work on my car.

Great chap and a good friend,
Spot on post Proccy. thumb

Going to add to this, as I would regards Barbz as my friend.

See if something goes wrong or you think its going wrong, phone Barbz. Once he's made an engine for you, your joining a family. He wants to take care of it, keep his reputation in tact and retain your trust.

Barbz isn't in it for the money, he actually loves his job and loves these cars.

I also want to add to this...

Barbz is a very good salesman. He lets you drive his own, very fast Coupe and leave you with no choice as to get your own forged build.

Barbz, if you're reading this, thank you for making me eat old bread and water for the next 17 years. laugh
