Anybody know where the overide switch is on a scorpion alarm system??

Cant get the thing to switch off after charging the battery up. Neither of the two fobs will switch it off, and cant get in touch with Scorpion til Monday now as they close at 5.

Cheers

Usually the unit at infront of the side mounted intercooler mate, next to the black flat plastic boost pipe. (under bonnet)

90 degree turn with the over ride key.

Thanks Razor,

I was searching under dash for it, didn't think it would have been in engine comapartment.

You say over ride key, is that a specific key then?? cos I don't have one.

I have a guarantee card that came with system but it has no details re: model, serial number, date of purchase and dealers name and address.

Can't see Scorpion sending a key to someone who cant verify any of the above can you?

F**K

Try the bockers school of alarm override: cut the 4 wires leading to the siren and if it's still going off, chuck it in a bucket of water

It's only the siren that is in the position rAzOr mentions, it has a key switch under a rubber cup, key blade is about 1" long. The alarm control box is elsewhere.

Replacement sirens can sometimes be found on the 'bay or taken from a car being broken if your's is no good.

But you can remove the siren and open it up (although the screws - not bolts - that hold it together often are rusted away) but once open you could cut the wires inside and then figure out how to repair/replace the key switch.

AFAIK the Scorpion company is a new company that arose from the ashes of the original company with some of the same people, and whilsy they have some spares, I'm not sure if they have anything for the 918 system.

Mine is down and up in the passenger footwell a bit awkward to get the key in to turn it off, but a bit of wiggling sorts it out.
