Am seriously thinking of changing my car's colour to BMW's Estoril Blue (currently standard Plus Electric Blue).

Some images here: http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=estoril+blue&z=e

It's always difficult choosing a colour, but do you chaps think this will work for the Coupe?

No doubt it would look good on a coupe. But my opinion is, estoril blue should stay on BMWs where it belongs. But hey, it's your pride an joy (is BMW).

How about that blue on carbonara's (IA forummer) coop?

Kelv, the car does need a respray (well, "need" is relative, but with a few dings, scratches and chips, in Coupe world "need" is easily justified). So I figured since I'm spending all that money, I may as well go for a change of wardrobe. Electric Blue is nice, but I've always fancied something a bit more vibrant. Have always loved Estoril Blue. So I figured a good stop gap before I can afford an E92 M32!! it would be unique as well I reckon.

Nik, will checkout carbonara's car - thanks.

Here's a photo of it:

I personally think it looks out of this world. Quite similar to estoril, but not.

Nice. It's a matte finish, which is okay, but I think I'd prefer gloss. Yes, now that's quite convincing...

As gorgeous as Estoril blue is it's just not Italian enough who wants a Coupe named after a Portuguese town anyway plus theres enough common Bavarians roaming around in that shade anyway only joking haha ... It's a lovely Blue.

Theres a few shades that might interest you though similarly if your after something extra exclusive and more italian biased lol. How about the Blue that the classic and new superamerica Ferraris came in Caribbean Blue stunning colour.

Also the Lamborghini colour Blu Ely Met they also did a solid Ely blue but that looks too much like Sprint Blue. Its a really vibrant blue though like the Matte one above but glossy.

I always thought the Lagos Blue was quite a tasty colour the old Delta Integrale Evos came in also one of my Favourites is ferrari Ribot Blue from the Daytona was gorgeous. Same colour as the Daytona Hammond drove on Top Gear but I suppose at a glance on a coupe it could look like Blitz Blue in dim light.

But anyway thats my effort of spanner thrown in the works. laugh Estoril would look spot on though I just enjoy a good paint ideas brainstorm sesh some real classy unusual combinations with so much choice can be had if you go all out. wink
