Seems like a nice work put in there! That said; I have strong doubts on if it will actually work. If anything it would catch the airflow and brake.. It's too low and the fins should be much longer (and longitudal, as to these vertical..) to have any effect. I'd say this is purely for looks (in case of course it's of your taste). It doesn't fit my taste that's for sure.

Looks good, how much lower is the bumper compared to original...?
It would look right only if the exhaust was integrated somehow...

Looks good, how much lower is the bumper compared to original...? ...about 10cm ..as the PIU one. Mariusz, have you got a pic of it on the car? Unfortunately, not yet.. today we did first dbs rear bumper.. I'll be looking for a few cups to have pictures. Looks good, what exhaust are you going for, central mounted or at the edges? We can do any exhaust holes wherever you want..

"The Coupe is not an F1".. No of course not. But what if - for example - you get a lot of extra lift at the back, running down Autobahn at 260km/h... Which is hard to garantuee not to get with this one. Similar conditions has killed a few Audi TT owners, mind you. The Coupe was made with a lot of aero work done and I think it might be an idea to consult somebody with some knowledge in these cases, since Your general idea is to sell this item to as many people as possible. My five cents..

I think, PIU rear looks OK. can you still fit the original rear diffuser? I'm sorry.. I do not understand.. Oryginal rear diffuser ? Per.. I understand, but big diffusors for Coupe this is absurd idea.. Aston does not need a bigger diffuser too..

Agreed with Jimbo - although if it was carbon (even carbon wrapped) you'd have to carbonise some other bits of the car like side skirts, lips, mirrors, light cups.....
Hmm.... that'd look pretty nice

If it was really a separate part (bolted on) it would be easy to fix when you scraped it too.

However absurd, here you go: http://sfk.ibk.se/depa/index.php?sub=viewcar&car_no=321..for anybody wanting a proper diffusor, just cut & copy by the templates. I personally wouldn't classify the Aston "diffusor" to more than cosmetica either. Anyway, this is OT Good luck and hope it ends up good looking!

looks nice once fitted & painted...nice work.
Just a thought...is there anyway the black diffuser section could be recessed back into the bumper more....so that the 'fins' do not stick out from the bumper so much.....?

I think, smaller "fins" are not visible on the car.. I'll have better pics with the exhaust on Saturday..

gj, I know what you mean, when I did the photoshop I too thought it would line up a bit more like the original bumper. Although I guess with some work you could make it less of a 'slab'. I've added a little seam and bent the side a bit inwards / upward. I think it's possible to do this if you're a bit handy with glassfibre. Original: Changes based on gj88: Hint: you can swap between these when you click the first image and then (without closing) the second one. Then press backspace / shift+backspace to swap between the images.

You're getting there Kayjey. If this was to be done again (a new style open to suggestions from the community), I'd love to be there from the start and design it from the ground up through to a CAD model. Maybe there could be a FCCUK body kit, designed by the forum/AutoDS and manufactured and sold by AutoDS? Gary

smaller, fins get my vote....that with twin exit rear exhausts (similar to the Clip sport 197) - you cant please everyone though clio 197 rear see how the diffuser fins are level with the bumper and do not stick out....

I like it Mariusz I think it would look fantastic with the diffuser in LE Titanium as you suggested(providing its fitted to an LE). It will really finish off the rear light cups

Very nice, matt black diffuser is the way to go.
Still something about the side of it though, as the guys said above about the slab look, maybe it just needs a slight slash or fin or something to break it up abit. But overall, great work!
Now in the 400+ bhp club!

I had my doubts about seeing this bumper develop. But looking at all the new pics on your website of it I've got to say what a nice facelift or arselift shall we say lol it gives the rear end. I was going to leave the standard look on the rear end of mine because I think its hard to better but must say I'm converted very nice indeed Mauriusz

Bah! Temptation! I went through the trouble of fitting the later style rear bumper and now you come with that. But with 210.000 km on the clock and the car just standing outside... it does need a new front bumper as well though. And hail storm dent removal. We've kind of decided to just keep it "as it is now". It's THE most beautiful thing I've seen on a 147 though. Excellent work that. PS - is that a leak?
