What a Coupe real shame the box gave up in the end, I heard the issue start earlier in the race and you can hear Marco ease off to save it and hold position but it wasn't to be

Ah now in aerodynamic speak running a front splitter a rear diffuser and a rear wing allows all three aerodynamic devices to "talk to each other" and by using all three you do get some benefits and gains. Don't ask me how much as i can't quantify, needless to say i know for a fact the front splitter is working as it hlps push the nose down up the straight which can only help reduce drag.

Thanks for the comments guys, i do try and get the old girl in amongst some of the fastest saloons and westfields in Scotland and we do okay considering the Coupe was never really campaigned in a motorsport sense by Fiat.

Last race was okay and maintained 3rd place in class and i think 5th or 6th overall which is brilliant for my fist year. As mentioned above we even managed to get on the podium overall in the Sep meeting which has to be the best day of the year, only to be ruined by the gearbox letting go in the second race. The meeting at the weekend was completed using a standard (eh!!!, yes) 5late 5 speed box which held out. I was a few seconds off the pace and in the second race had a huge off track excursion just after the start. Got back on track and finished in a points soring position so that was okay. I was cringing at the interview although it could have been worse. need to stop eating all the pies for next year i think!!

Ah yes it's April isn't it well i would love to go back and the car has changed again so i reckon it would be very quick round Spa now. As long as it doesn't clash with the racing i am up for it but i won't know until the turn of the year.

Sparco, i will happily trade you my mrs, Proccy, Mario, McMike, Stan and a kiddney if i can blag a passenger lap round spa.

I'll be careful how i answer that in case your mrs and my mrs read this but if i go i'll happily take anyone out for a passenger lap.

Last round on Motors TV tonight at 6pm i think. Not sure how much of my second race antics you'll see but you will see that i am not on the pace with the old gearbox in. About 2 seconds slower, still finished both races in the points though.

no doubt i will get home and watch this!
