A precautionary note!
I contacted the owner to find out the LE number of his car so I could update the registration and this is what he replied back to me.

"Sorry I don't want that info floating about it doesn't matter wot number it is if you want to come view your more than welcom thanks"

Now what difference would it make to disclose the model number of an LE. It made me suspitious

I would not 'come to view' any car with the word moddiefied' in the title. ......

Well with that attitude he does not deserve to find a buyer !

Aye, nowt queer as folk. Normally I would have a quick look at the ad' & that would be that, but!!! I can't decide what's worse, the spelling or the grammar.

I'm certainly no literature genius, but that is bad. If I lived anywhere near the owner, I would pay a visit just out of curiosity.

That's it! I drive past that house daily and there's a multitude of Coupes there varying each day.

The reason why I sudgested this to my mate to send you that reply was for this simply reason, all that ever comes out of these posts is blah blah negative rubbish, if you have the money and are in the Market to buy an LE then come and view if not don't wast our time and yours

Thats a fair point however with all due respect if your selling a car thats limited edition it would be helpful to the buyer to know the number...

Also while most of these threads arnt very constructive it would give the prospective buyer the opportunity to fish around on the forum to look up history on the vehicle.

Any histroy or documents are supplied with the coupes we sell, all I would say to anyone interested in buying one give us a call and make a time to come and view, but we have a quick turn around and don't hold onto them long, there's another one in the pipeline to come up too

Wasnt aware we had some coupe traders working outside of this forum...

the reason someone would like to know a number is probably so they can do some research - if possible. then decide on whether they want to see the car. better than to waste everybody's time. simples.

It's a wonder some dealers ever sell a car with their attitudes. If you withold information that will put most buyers off, let alone the attitude that comes across. Some dealers I do the books for would put Victor Meldrew in the shade for grumpiness!

Manners cost nothing. Here's a business equation more people should remember. Good manners = good customer service = good reputation = more profit for the trader. In todays financial climate you can ill afford to lose potential customers.

Despite this, I wish good luck with this and future sales. Chances are you will need it!!

If he is right, then in May this year, LE 1195 was for sale in Brazil!!!

This. How can people put such little effort into selling a car?

I take the view that it's the car I'm buying, not the current seller. If the car is sound and legitimate, the history stacks up, and the seller is unaware or uninterested or just ignorant in whatever way you think, so what? It's up to the buyer to be armed with all the information, not the seller, although he may well get less interest and ultimately sell for a lower price. In my view the seller id not trying to misrepresent the car, he's not asking a ridiculously high price, the way this thread is going, you all seem to think (hope?) the car would never sell, well that's great for a prospective buyer who may get an unexpected bargain!

I appreciate that this is a cheap car,so minimal messing about would be ideal but surely the hospitality and friendly attitude will help the sale of a car with such a bad reputation.
In my opinion people dont want to mess you about,but more so ensure that the car there buying is a good one as the majority are bad now.

Very strange he has 2 i think something strange is happening is there somebody close to him who can view them?? also there both on same mileage 101000
