put it this way, a car sale is a two way thing. He is well aware of potential buyers messing him about (which is part of life im afraid) but has NO awareness that buyers are equally likely to messed around. The amount of cars that have looked genuine that on the day have been piles of **** particularly fun if you have done a long journey.
Therefore asking a few questions before taking a day off and loading the car up with fuel seems a wise decision. avoidance of simple questions would make me walk

I think he's irate as he knows whe we are talking about on here & has had some questions he probably couldn't answer to his liking!. I had one a couple of years back - he became very irate at the questions I was asking & accused me of being a 'dreamer & not a driver' of these cars I basically asked him the half-dozen usual questions, in quite detail though - he didn't answer one of them. I believe he couldn't answer my questions!, as the reality was he knew nothing about them himself! - he had never heard of FCCUK yet he claimed to be a 'true enthusiast' He branded the FCCUK as a 'sad area where people talk about the Fiat coupe, rather than driving it' I wish I had have put his email on here now - looks like this seller is very similar.

Lol is this ranting still going on, the only question asked was what le number is the car or cars, and the fact you state sad fccuk members, i'l comment that yes you are indeed sad and only wound up because you cants rant on about oh iv found this le number 0000, no one has even said I'm bidding on that coupe or interested in that coupe for the reason none of you are interested in buying a le in the first place, so if you got nothing better to do with your time then keep on ranting lol

I'm assuming you are selling the car coupe_manic, or know the person who is? Eitherway calling the people on this forum "cants" because people hold an opinion on a car for sale seems a little OTT don't you think? P.S In case you were wondering I have a Coupe and am not interesting in bidding on that one.

Lol is this ranting still going on, We're not ranting - we're giggling in disbelief that someone who purports to be a Coupe enthusiast could be SO out of touch with how to sell one. Basically, the reason that you won't sell a Coupe to an FCCUK member is because we clearly know more about the cars than you do, and we have the ability to make you look silly by asking questions that you've no idea how to answer. The only people that you're going to sell to with your attitude is the unlucky buyer that fancies a Coupe but for some reason, hasn't found FCCUK (yet) And as for FCCUK being a place where we talk about Coupes, rather than drive them - you're dead right (because it's an internet forum, not the open road - what else would you expect we do on FCCUK?). Many owners drive their Coupes every day and some rack up impresive mileages.

First if you can't be bothered to read the past posts then your poorly commenting on a rant you have not bothered to read, I no longer own my old le.
Secondly if I don't know anything about 20vt coupes then ask away

coupe_manic actually knows a bit about these cars, long before I knew anything about them.
As for this thread, he's just coming up for his mate, which any of us would do(hopefully). Whether you agree with it or not.

Very true, so I'm going to be the better man leave this ranting thread to the so-called experts in the field of le coupe buying that the most important question when buying a le is what number is it???? but at lest I know what numbers they are and I think for good measure i'l advise for the brass plac's to be ducked tapped for good measure, just incase there's any le coupe spy's planing on doing a recon mission lol

It's because he's trolling.
I'm sure S198HKP will have an LE number associated with it at some point.

Well thank god for HPI checks True, but an HPI check won't tell me if the car has been running 1.6 bar on a dodgy PRV, or if the previous owner was always complaining of running problems. It also wouldn't inform me of accident damage that was not subject to an insurance claim - there are plenty of cars on here that have suffered damage and been repaired by the owners I still maintain that if you have nothing to hide, why are you refusing to publish the LE number? - nobody is going to clone it All you've managed to do is arouse suspicion and greatly reduce your chances of a sale Also, as mentioned elsewhere, using the same interior photograph for both the red and black LEs is always going to ring the alarm bells Shame - they both look like decent cars, but there's just too many questions....

Coupe_manic I had to take a 600+ mile round trip to pick mine up [and give it a test-drive first] and can assure you that the two previous owners couldn't have been more up-front about the car's recent history. An acquaintance of mine did something similar but racked up over 1k miles again with prior knowledge. Yep it's your business but my bet is on you getting more potential buyers if you use chilled language....maybe you have been messed about before but I think that goes with the territory mate, you'll know that better than me. The ad and some of your posts are not giving off the right vibes IMO. Still, hope it finds a good home

No, only time wasters and dreamers on here And just possibly someone who may have stumped up more than £1370 if it had been advertised on here.
