Wow. What an un-expected weekend, High lights... Too many to list... Seeing KJ's face light up like Proccy at an all you can eat buffet was one.. And Joes (CC) look of confusion was good also!! I'm glad mrs marcos little 147GTA gave some of you standard 20vt's a run for your money. And nismo, you still got passed. Biggest low... Well... We lost a coupe... But we did bring back a new member of FCCUK... Chandou. Chandou is/was No1topshotta. Hope your ok mate! Massive thanks to the club and all who organised this brilliant event!!

Well as always in the 3 years i've been going this turned out to be a brilliant experience exceeding what i'd hoped. As Marco the bottler says, too many highlights to list but the best was probably a blazing session in the passenger seat of Barbz monster car. It was absolute utter mayhem and the adrenalin rush was just unreal. The guy was doing 100mph+ slides round corners whilst oevrtaking people but it was all (just!) under control.... i'm sure he won't mind me repeating my description that he might not be the "tidiest" driver ever to grace Spa but no-one is more committed or exciting imo. There were helmets, bottles of water, extinguishers, shoes, tools etc etc flying around the cabin, and i can honestly say if i was about to die it would have been with a massive smile on my face!!!! Another highlight was a 3 lap duel with Nismo where there was not much other traffic and we went at it hammer and tongs with me getting past him and him getting past me until i finally nailed him on the pit straight. Absolutely top fun and anyone who has doubts about coming to this weekend really needs to make it their top priority, i'm no track expert by any means but i enjoyed as much as the high power, high boost heroes..... My thanks in no particular order go to; Pete for magnificent organisation and leadership of the event Theresa for being a brilliant companion and assistant and for giving as good as she gets in the P taking stakes...but having the worse "arse-crack" you've ever seen when bending over changing my wheels JBT for making it possible for me to even have this car out on track and finally being reliable allowing me to drive it with confidence Barbz for building the engine and making it great, fast, fun and torquey and for the mental/manic/extraordinary few laps on the ragged edge between life and death Also to MCMullet, Porkster, Dan and the others all of whom I overtook at various times thanks to the work done on my car by the above gurus of coupes. Mario, Sedicilashes and Nismo for polishing my car Marco for being the home-from-home village idiot. Shaun (crazylegs) off here who is a mint bloke and top driver in his stealth weapon LE - he wanted a plus, better luck next time kid The Magoos for great company, and anyone i forgot - i'm sorry but you were great too. Sorry about the crash guys but he'll be back i'm sure. Finally to Marcouzze - I hope you have good luck in the future because so far it has been terrible. You are the only guy I know with worse luck than me!!!! Theresa - the doogong of awesomeness

i have to agree with Marco ^^^ was a cracking weekend and good to meet other forum members that i haven't met before . My dad enjoyed himself and will be coming next year and will try and keep his eyes open for a full lap but Marco you didn't pass me i let you go as you would have pushed me off the track as it was getting very dangerous . Thanks to proccy for the mighty battle we had out on track as it was the best one of the weekend for me . Massive thanks to the club and all who organised this brilliant event and see you at spa next year .

Gill and i are just home now safe and sound. 1,250 miles round trip.
This years Spaitalia has been just fantastic and easily one of the best i have been to.
Thankyou Peter and Marcouzze for all your hard work.
Lots of laughs and great fun with everyone from the UK and French Coupe clubs which i will never forget.
As for my track driving,i am very happy with what i have achieved this weekend with the help from Gill and Patrick (Nos 20vt). My coupe is now suffering from a slipping clutch, but that is a small price to pay considering the punishment i have put it through. It still got us home though .
It was great to see everyone and nice to meet some new faces.
One highlight for me was Patrick screaming at me not to brake as i decended down to Eau Rouge at 120mph and actually nailing that tremendous corner.
Klass thanks for the fun Sunday morning mate, great driving pal.
Photo's to come later.

I got home just after 5 pm today, been to the chippy and the shop, for food and beers, just to finish off the last few days Thanks to Pete for arranging for us to take part again Many thanks to proccy for taking me across and for putting up with my whinging, although 95% of that was his fault anyway Been a good weekend, with unexpected, but lovely weather. Nice to catch up with everyone again and was nice to meet stuart81 and his mate, orion, Lego, little Dan, marcouzze, Alesi, Simmo (Gary) Barbz and others Gutted about the smashed Coupe and marcouzze's car too Always a bit of a come down when I get home, but hopefully looking forward to going again next year

What an awesome weekend, great company (you all know who you are - such a great bunch of people, each and every one who was there), cool cars and some very exciting track driving. I had a great time on the track, with some fun with Barbz green monster barbequeing my front bumper with his exhaust flames, and a very exciting side by side run down to Eau Rouge with Porky Paul. I felt decidely queasy after Nick did his man's work and chucked me and my LE round the bends. My car never missed a beat, I even managed 35mpg on the drive back home and clocked up 216,000 miles along the way. I'm looking forward to next year already !!! A big thankyou to Pete for organising this fantastic event, and thanks to Kayjey for the excellent stickers Will post pics / vid over the next few days

Well... Got back half an hour ago and all is well. Massive thanks to everyone in the club who made this weekend possible and such a laugh. I've got 30 gig of video to get through so it may take a week or 2 to sift through it all and make a vid. Nigel yes I have footage of you in a cloud of smoke I'm sure you'll all feature in it once its done But right now... BED

So much better watching this with a bigger speaker Really enjoyed watching this, nice driving Who the eck were those two that flashed past a couple of minutes in? Barbz?? And btw pardon my ignorance but why do the brakes shudder like that, is it intentional for this stuff?

Got back 6.30 this evening. All I can say is wow what an experience, what a mad, crazy, fantastic 2 days at Spa racetrack. I really don't know where to start as I still haven't assimilated it all yet. So for nowI'll just say thanks to all of those who organise this event every year; especially Pete for organising my participation at short notice. Marcouzze for getting me club rate at Hotel de la Source again at short notice. (sorry I didn't get to meet you). Mayzon for letting letting me follow him down to Spa from Calais. All those who gave me advice and info on Forum the last few weeks. All those people who helped me and my Son Lewis at the track . If you own a Fiat Coupe you owe it to yourself and your car , to take it to Spa. A dream come true for me and my boy who is an F1 expert. I had a disappointing nervous first session and problem with car due to me probably overdriving. I had a much better and infinitely more enjoyable second session after I started at back and kept away from all the powerfull Coops, and- ust drove the track instead of getting involved in trying to race or getting out of way. Starting at the back again I was completely at home with track by the third session and managed a best of 3.33. Lewis - who was so happy that he got to be on the pit wall- was timing me and giving me info about safety cars etc via his walkie talkie Lewis finally got to come out onthe 11 to 12 Parade session on Sunday and was so ecstatic At finally getting to go round the famous Spa. I thought the parade lap (when you are mixed with all the different makes) was going to be a slow jolly round the track . no way! it was fantastic. And just as fast as the coupe sessions for me. I started at back again and did loads of hugely enjoyable overtaking and got myself right behind the pace car. Driving alongside and against all those other makes of car, made me realise even more what a fantastic Car the Coupe is. incredible Why the hell didn't I buy one years ago when there was a ferry from here to Zeebrugge Thank you Fiat Coupe Club

The shuddering under braking looked as if he had a wheel on the kerb; mine was doing that too. Not referring to the edge of the track, just each time Marco braked.

The brakes on the GTA are well and truly fu-bured. We drove back on metal on metal. They where insanely warped.
