We recently bought a coupe off a forum member, needing a few bits doing to it and a general tidy up.

First thing was to sort the wheels which were curbed all over and had paint flaking.

This was a very long job getting them prepped using manual labour tongue

Results seemed quite good for a halfords spray can job laugh

We had also just bought back the flat paint with a bit of elbow grease so now the car looks a million times better, except for the dent in the door frown

A few weeks previous we did the wheels on my Main Sprint blue coupe also. Also thankyou RICHB for refurbing those centre caps, you did a great job laugh

We used a really interesting shade of silver which really changes in different lighting and dirt levels. They seem to have a hint of blue and purple and silver depending on the way you look at them.

All in all, much cheaper than sending wheels off to be refurbished, although alot more work involved wink

It's amazing how just tidying up the wheels can transform a car!

Yeah, i might polish my nuts actually...
(It does actually make a massive difference)

Cheers T, turns out thats why my car pulls to the left, just one tyre decided to lose some pressure despite having them changed all round not so long ago.

I've got a spare set of wheels in the garage i might spray and sell as they have seen better days in their current state. Just not sure what colour to do them in?

To be honest, they look nicer in real as the pictures don't do them much justice.

If it keeps losing pressure, the tyre place will need to take the tyre back off the rim and reseal it properly - sounds like it's losing air through it's seal between the rim and the tyre.

I'll keep an eye on it T. I've checked all the tyres for uneven wear but they are all wearing perfectly so i guess i'll just see how it goes. laugh
