Its about 130 more than my best ever but Im guessing the 20V NA will be a lot better without a turbo guzzling the fuel

Ex 20VT - now something far more sensible'ish... smile

I did nearly 800km's on 1 tank in a gtec'd 20vt That was all done in 1 day, all motorway and fairly sensible driving and mostly in 6th gear. I reckon if you're really sensible it will do even better

Cheers, that makes me feel better! Was beginning to feel a wasteful with my usual 230 miles to the tank.

Up yours Photobucket.

Watched a rerun of Top Gear the other day with the GT40.

Clarkson got about 4mpg on a track - equates to about 75 miles to a tank

Joe - thats probably as bad, if not worse than the Evo!

Got 440 miles from the coupe (well, it did with a lady driving it) and about 650 from the diesel.

Ive never got less than 300. Pretty much 340 -370 for every tank although 80% plus is motorway driving..

Forgot to mention --

the run wasnt completed at speeds suited to maximum fuel efficiency

due to -
A Clio 180 ???
B Various repmobiles
C 205 GTI
D Mad granny in a Hyundai coupe
E Various loony truckers on the A74 or whatever it is...
F 4 of us in the car and a boot full of luggage
G A tendancy to roll the window down on the country roads and listen to the coupe on full chat -
H 4 service station stops for occassional coffee cig - leg stretch - child slap - and general boredom busters...

The 373 mile journey from Warwick to Stranraer took precisely 5 hours 18 minutes and 37 seconds.

This leads me to assume that maintaining optimum fuel efficiency speeds will deliver great fuel savings ....but you know what???? THATS NEVER GONNA FCCUKING HAPPEN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

happy driving

Hack! My best in the Accord is 470 miles (55 litre tank) and that included a lot of in gear coasting, changing at 2Krpm and getting in a lot of people's way!

I usually get 320 miles in the Coop when on the prowl = off boost as long as possible and in-gear coasting with the odd blat when an "excuse" arises.
