I am looking for a good compromise between every day and track day pads. I know that the usual option is Ferodo DS2500 but what about some other less expensive pads like: EBC Red Stuff, Red Dot XE, Black Diamond Predator, Mintex 1144, Tarox Strada, OMP R&S? Any ideas, please?

Otherwise I might just go for the Ferodo Premier pads and have a set of Blue Stuff NDX pads to use on track days?

Not sure if there available for the coupe yet, but orange stuff pads are excellent,run them on my evo and there better than ds2500,they are just like xp8's but £100 cheaper.

Are they OK from cold?

Resurrecting an old thread, but going to get some new pads/discs in the next couple of days..

Only use it for road (and without a concrete right shoe)

so was looking at the OMP R+S or Ferodo Premier..

heading towards the OMP at the moment I think unless anyone has any thoughts/recommendations.

Also looking at discs, was thinking standard brembos, or ECP's have these Pagid ones = though doesn't say much about them.. any thoughts?

MTEC's finest are more than sufficient for road use - I also use them on track too with good results;

The OMP pads should be more than adequate for road use

Pads and discs all in for not much more than £100. Bargain without too much compromise

Well, I got MTEC discs and Ferodo Premier pads for road use - more than fine. And EBC Blue Stuff for track use. I tried Blue Staf on the road and they are fenom! Much better from cold then DS2500 or Premier. I had OMP R+S on a 20V withe OMP R+S discs and they were really good but not so good from cold.
