Some cracking vision on that second video "That drivers now putting on his seatbelt" Was anyone else waiting for the infamous "Road Block ahead. GET OFF THE ROAD!...Through the trees, kill the lights" Finally, and perhaps Stan can tell us, did he make it to KrispyKremes in time? I switched off the first vid after the first overtake which was on 'no overtaking' road markings

Dotted white lines with a hatch in between isn't no overtaking, so it is legal. You do have to ask yourself why the highways authority felt the need to put in a central 'island', though. Its usually because visibility is marginal, or there are lots of accesses - i.e. higher risk area.
I was more unimpressed with him looking to overtake in ghost turning islands. Again, its not technically illegal in the absence of a solid line, but it is a bad idea, because anything could emerge from the side roads.
The RX8 was good in that he waited till he could be sure it was clear, and the RX8 should have understood that he was looking to pass. As T says, he could be stressing the driver in front, but he kept a reasonable distance back. I would not drive like that, but I've seen much worse.
It was less good because he was on the wrong side of the road with a very short visible distance.

At around 10:08 on the first video, he gets the driver to drive on the wrong side of the road at the same speed as the cars in front, is that correct technique?
If I saw someone doing that I'd think they were a nutter!
On the second video, what's the purpose for changing the siren tone?

Crossing hatched areas? Isn't that the reason for the hatching, to forbid access? Not unless its bounded by solid white lines.

Crossing hatched areas? Isn't that the reason for the hatching, to forbid access? Not unless its bounded by solid white lines. Dead right. The hatch is just to push the traffic lanes apart, probably because of some marginal visibility, or a bad accident record. Both are reasons to think twice, but you can cross them, you can overtake in them. However, if you then have an accident, that's probably evidence of careless driving.
