Mot time today for custard, my 99 VIS.
Since clocking 150k a couple of thousand miles ago, I've improved the car drastically with some work required, and some not, and have lavished the car with the following;
4 new Falken 452 18" tyres
Replacement very good condition leather interior
New Emtec drilled & grooved discs
New Bosch flat wiper blades
New thermostat
Major service, inc oil, filter, brake fluid, gearbox oil and antifreeze
Swapped star led rear lights for my preferred standards
Uprated fli speakers all round
New number plates and rear led number plate lights
Replaced entire centre console, handbrake console, cluster panel all from immaculate donor VIS. All unmarked like new.
All lighting is now late VIS red, including stereo and starter button (was orange, blue and white or not working at all previously).
Reverted to original airbox and induction (immaculate)
Slam panel, rad and fans also replaced with immaculate/new items.
Has been the recipient of a flea map.
And the mot failed today on headlamp aim and 8% parking brake efficiency.
Not too shabby or disastrous.
Damn coop handbrakes

Examiner did comment favourably on the overall condition of the car. "Not the usual coupe rustbucket" were his exact words!
