The ADAC tests are out for anyone interested: http://www.adac.de/infotestrat/tests/rei...rcePageId=31821For the "smaller" coupes (205/50 15) I could only find Hankook, Kumho and Semperit. No prizes for guessing which ones I went for! Will report back after the first snow. In the dry, they feel smooth and quiet. Not sure if it is as a result of the good review, but the Semperits are nowhere near as cheap as the ADAC thought they should be.

I have some Semperits on order for the Grande Punto, £62.50 each from www.mytyres.co.uk
16VT and X1/9 1500
We must all do our part for the planet. I unplugged a row of electric cars that nobody was using.

For the past 4 years i've been putting them on at the start of Nov (they work better than normal tyres in lower temps, not just freezing) Only disadvantage is they wear quicker due to the softer compound but as they are on for only 6 months they last ages anyway.
Horsing around's a serious business.

Winter tyres are highly recommended. I put mine on from Nov till the end of March. I have Uniroyal MS Plus 66. They are excellent, during bad snow last year I had very good grip and traction with these. It is difficult to source winter tyres and prices increase as the weather gets colder.
