I would have said 2k is very good price for your car.
I have no idea why these cars in good condition are so cheap. I know when Im done with mine, I will be breaking it as I know I will get alot more. Great! That's just what we need another coupe broken!

That's just what we need another coupe broken! When I come to buy a house next year I will need to raise as much money as possible, and IF I can't get a fair price for my car, I think it's in MY best interests to do with MY car what I want. So I will break it sell the parts to forum owners so that more than 1 Coupe can carry on.... I know it is not the ideal thing to do as I do love the Coupe but I can guarantee if you have not already bought a second hand part from anther Coupe you will in the future so your comment is a bit of a contradiction.

As for detailing, I will be able to do a couple after xmas if the demand is there using very unique and proven products that will waterproof and completely seal the paintwork - after it's been refined of course. However, this would not come cheap! We are talking £280.00 a car!

You are of course entitled to do what you want with you're coupe. But if you take into account the amount of time it will take to break it,then its not profitable on a one of basis. The coupe enthusiast tends to think of the car first and not profit. We are now getting into times of saving coupes and there are already plenty of parts for sale all over Europe. The majority of second hand cars bought, resell at a loss, thats a given. So why should the coupe be sold for parts just to make sure the owner makes a profit when said owner decides to sell.

Funny how I get the crap for mentioning breaking MY car. But some people seem to be selling second hand parts every other day on the forum, I wonder what they are doing. Cheers

To be honest I'd rather it sell for a bit less and sell the car complete as it's in good condition and would be a waste to see it broken up for parts. Especially as there's not many left now. It'll be a shame to see it go.

It'll be a shame to see it go. Know what you mean but how do you know the buyer won't check the oil and kill the engine within a couple of weeks of getting it. Or be a lousy driver who smashes it up just a few miles after buying it off you. We all get attached to our cars but do what's best for you, not others on the forum.
