I take good care of my Coop- you have to really with a car like this. But relatively early on during Coop ownership it was a bit different. When I first got mine, in order to 'show off' the sound to someone, I turned on the cold engine, revved it like a madman and then immediately turned it off!! Also, once out of sheer laziness, I didn't check the oil for like 6 weeks! When I did check it, the dipstick was bone dry! Anyone else here done any crazy things?

Note to self, do not buy jkd's coupe What I was thinking! Haha. I havent done bad things on purpose.... besides right before I changed my tyres I did an epic wheel spin when some traffic lights went green My 16v got hit by a stairs banister that my Dad was carrying into the garage.... Let's just say even though I went out and told him to mind the car, when he hit it, i had a bit of a bitch fit!! I got the front bumper on the current one stuck on a curb i didnt know was there! Luckily no damage!!!

Punched the bonnet in a fit of rage when yet something else broke! Silly, but made me feel better at the time.

I took an air con pipe off. Without releasing the gas first. Yes it made a mess.

Drove to Crail without checking the garage had done the wheel nuts up tight enough. They hadn't. Wheel came off round a corner, car went straight into a verge. Wheel kept going for about half a mile. Drove home on 2 wheel nuts on that wheel. Ross

After a fishing trip I left a box half full of maggots in the boot for about 2 weeks, yes they hatched im sure it smelt beautiful in there, yes siree Funnily enough it didn't smell bad, they were castors ahh...that was lucky, found a funny story about that ha: Sledgehammer CEMEX Site Connoisseur Join Date: Jul 2005 Location: Bow Posts: 1,074 Maggots to casters? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Have a few pints of old maggots in the fridge which have died, is it just a matter of waiting for them to turn to casters then mixing them with a bit of water? What's the process?? Cheers. __________________ Nah there's no 40's in here mate 22-02-2008, 17:21 #2 Olly1 (M) Moderator Join Date: Aug 2006 Posts: 2,120 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If they are dead they will not turn into casters! They're dead! Put very very simply - Live maggots will 'turn' (white then brown then black) with a bit of warmth and humidity! Then pick them off as sinkers into cold water, and keep a few blacks as floaters - they balance the hook 's weight. Much cheaper & easier to buy caster - from a reputable dealer - usually a match orientated shop!

New worst thing for me, Car frozen shut again this morning, key in a jug of boiling water, got the door open. Started engine, closed door, proceeded to scrape the windows, all fine, tried to re-open the door..... No joy, heard something fall down inside & handle went sickeningly loose. Due to the cars dodgy central locking the passenger door was still locked & a recent house move meant i have no idea which of the yet to be unpacked boxes my spare key is in. Long story short, smashed the drivers door window & i've taken an impromptu day off work to try & come to terms with my guilt over assaulting the true love of my life in such a violent manner.

Oh deary me Jimbob. Invest in a good car cover until you can sort the Coop out. This may save you money in the long run....Best of luck.

Has anyone ever tried to exit a frozen car via the ski hatch and the boot (assuming the internal boot release works and the boot isn't frozen shut also?)
