That's it folks, I'm officially out.

Got in the car this morning, jokingly said to my colleague when I arrived "Car doesn't feel right, think it's moody as it knows i'm leaving it at my parents to go to Birmingham"

Well, got in it to leave work and the clutch has completely gone. Couldnt get it into gear to reverse out, once I got it into gear it shot backwards without me even taken my foot off the clutch! So, I was recovered home by Greenflag.

With no money left due to my 2nd move this year and no need to the car, its going for spares unless someone buys it, if not, scrapper she goes.

Absolutely gutted. I was really looking forward to my last few weeks with her. I felt like i could actually cry earlier! frown

Did you check it wasn't just the slave cylinder? Reasonably quick, simple and cheap job to do.

Hmmm, I wonder if Mrs Stan would give me a pocket money advance? I'd take it off your hands, always wanted a yellow one (coupé that is! laugh ).

My advice; don't write her off without checking first....

Thing is, i'm not going to be using it as its going to my parents and i have no money. I dont even know how i'm going to get it to my parents? As i cant really afford to get a transporter.
It needs to go before i leave this house on the 31st. I shall be advertising shortly.

Such a shame, It's barely run in!

And I have just put £90 of fuel in it!!!! grr grr grr

Lets hope aye! It might live to see another day. This car has been close to going to coupe heaven so many times.

Well, she lives to see another day.

A big thank you to Jeremy (Jas_Racing) who came and confirmed the slave drive cylinder. £30 part and fitted really easy. Really nice guy and was truley appreiciated smile

May be I blow things a bit out of water a bit to easy!

Car feels much better, must've been going for a while as feels a lot more responsive and quicker.... unless that's just because i've been getting a lift in a 106 diesel and its just me.

Happy again smile

See, it pays to be on this forum! wink

Imagine if you'd written the car off or sold it dirt cheap simply because of that? Ouch! sick

Then again, that's exactly what the previous owner of my coupé did, after getting a new alternator, battery, exhaust, alloys and tyres and stereo fitted......flogged it to me for buttons because "the clutch cable has gone and my mechanic can't find it!" laugh

Oh how we laughed! laugh
