In the coupe.

last year, there were about 45 coupes for sale on Pistonheads. Today there are 16. They of course may have put their (PH) prices up. But bloody hell these great cars are disapearing quick. Look after them folks for the sake of the car whether they are worth dosh now or not. The coupe is too good a car to disapear. How are the numbers on ebay etc ?

Pistonheads have shot them self's in the foot, you will notice its not just coupes PH is short of, its a bloody lot of cars. They have removed the free adverts unless you have been a member for +3 years (and even then you probably have to go though CS to get permissions sorted)
It used to be a cracking source of all cars especially budget stuff, you find much more on gumtree than you do on pistonheads now.
They have had to role back there new for sale section, they screwed up my advert both in terms of formatting and then my sellers permissions.
I think they have a series case of growing pains. Shame as it was and still is to an extent one of my favourt sights and there CS have always been spot on

The eBay numbers are difficult to scroll through; provided you have one or two ( ) we will keep the marque alive. My two cost FAR too much money to let go, and I still have a decision when I open the front door.... Green or Grey. As they say in France "Quelle domage" (depends which one will start ) Tim

I have 3 at the moment. I cant really see me getting rid of any of them. My wine red is my baby and i fully intend a complete strip out and respray in the next 5 years. The track coupe will be ready when funds allow. As for the scottie, well it has great potential having a 57,000 mile engine and very nice black leather. Just a respray then, plus age related renewals. There Simply done. To quote a pal of mine. Long live the coupe !!

I have just started to save my one. She gets her new engine in about 3 weeks. Was going forged and looking for a donor car or decent engine and then forge present one. plans have now changed as I have sourced a recent rebuilt engine. Feel better in the way I will not be scrapping one myself now. Will be after some goodies for her soon. She is going to be a keeper whatever.
The way I see it is whilst the parts are worth more than the car the numbers will keep going down fast. When they become rarer the prices will go up. Not all good news as the price and availability of parts will change. In years to come this could be seen as the best time to start ownership of a Coupe
