I was just wondering if anyone had converted the rear seats so they BOTH fold down. After enlarging the 'ski slot' this would make the boot so much more practical. Do any other car seats fit straight in the back as a replacement ?

It would effect the rigidity of the body shell and safety of the vehicle + the handeling would suffer too due to more flex in the body shell. Don't Do It! frown

Maybe? What are you in need of carrying that requires the alteration confused

I think the tricky part would be converting the larger seat into a folding version. Do you know of any other seats that would fit ?

When the bolts are removed from the rear of the larger "non folding" side of the rear seat, it actually folds as well, would just be a matter of fitting a quick release catch like on the other side.

That sounds promising, thanks for the heads up Jimbob. I've got an MX6 that i'm waiting to scrap, maybe that could donate a few pieces.

Thats the easy part. But as previously mentioned by Pondman, please be very careful regarding strengthening the area surrounding your new cutout. The Coop does have a ridiculous amount of chassis flex. Good luck if you decide to go ahead.

Props for thinking outside the box Inky, but it's not a good idea in my opinion, too much hassle and potential for chassis flex, for minimal gain. Buy a trailer and fit a..... Towing knob love crazy laugh
