Why do people copy and paste this stuff onto their facebook profile? Surely they must have been hacked crazy For a start it is an American bit of dirge and they can’t spell favour and it has been floating about for years. I also find it verging on being insulting. Surely it is just spam?

Well all of it really. The full text goes like this:-
"May I ask a personal favor .... and this is REALLY personal .... only some of you will do it, and I know who you possibly are. If you know someone who fought a battle with [insert ailment, condition etc] and passed away/died/crippled/icontinent (delete as appropriate), or someone who is still fighting .... please add this to your status for 1 hour as a mark of respect and remembrance. I hope I was right about the people who will do it."

Well it is not REALLY personal if it is just copied and pasted and they can't spell favour grr Just don't understand the need to post this drivel. If it is "Really personal" then write a really personal message confused

Oh, that, right.

Personally I hate all copy 'n' paste Facebook updates, although recently they've been less annoying than people who seem to spend Friday nights posting links to YouTube videos for song after song.

You're not female are you smile

One of my friends has just posted up "When you feel like the world is against you [insert some rubbish here about being right and fighting back blah blah blah"

and all I could think of was "When it feels like the world is against you ... you are clearly paranoid and deranged.. Go see the doctor quick before you harm someone".

Girls just dont get it. Same with spam mail about virus's/chain mail that will cause you to die if you dont send it on to 500 people etc etc

The Americans spell favour like favor, so 10 guesses where this stems from smile

I now report any one who does that as spamming.

There is nothing I hate more than people who think there doing good and raising support by sitting on there asses copying and pasting some one else's Facebook status.

I actually thing its harmful for what ever cause is in question because instead of people acting in a proactive fashion and actually making a positive contribution, it allows them to feel gratified that they have done something that for all intents and purpose is about as useful as a chock fireguard

Thankfully this happens very rarely now as any reject that does that has now been removed.

/End rant
