hey guys, can anyone help here due to the fact that sometimes when i turn my ps3 on and go on the internet it completly freezes, i mean nothing happens, the loading bar stops and nothing happens, i cant bring up the ps3 menu by pressing select eather, the only way that i can get out of the freeze is by pulling out the power cable from the back.
i really want to find out why this is happening, please help???

Had a similar prob. but can't remember how i got it sorted so sorry not much help. Best advice though would be PS3 forum or google it. Must be a fix online.

I think this is Jake, I'll ask him later but I thought he was registered already.

It's easy to find out if it's Jake or Dan. Just ask how many bolts hold the exhaust manifold to the block.

I thought Jake was 'minime'.

its me jake, lost my old account, kayjay, 20v or 16v for the manifold question, in that case i dont know what to do with the ps3, probably burn it.

Have you installed the latest update?

You can force the ps3 into like a diagnostic mode and ask it to reinstall the system software, checking and replacing faulty files.

Check youtube on how to do this and they will show you.

yeah, my system is all up to date, i tried to force the diagnostic part but it said that there was a chance of loosing data so i stopped, i will just have to live with it

Get an xbox and drive a coupe in Forza 4

I've done it jake and i didn't lose any data.

xbox? i have heard people say that they have had the red ring of death just over 5 weeks of having it, i really dont want to take that risk eather.

as per Ross do the hold the on button thing and go into safe mode and run it, i had the same problem when i bought Driver San Fansico and now it's fine with nothing lost
