One of my golden rules is never to bother with a young lady who is already engaged in a relationship (even an unhappy with one) with someone else.

I broke this rule once with disastrous results and vowed never to do it again.

So what do other forumers think, is it ok to hit on someone who is in a relationship or is it a definite no no ?

Every situation is different,so the reaction would be different.

But temptation can be very hard to resist in certain circumstances.

But to just go and hit on someone that you know is in a relationship is a no from me.
I would have to be very very drunk to atempt that ! drink

Put it this way, what would you think if someone knew you were in a relationship and still hit on your girlfriend?

My Mrs was in a relationship when I met her and I 100% would never get involved in that situation again. I knew it was worth it but the hassle it caused was horrible. You really don't need it to be honest, things get tricky fast enough without added negative emotions.
The perfect catch is someone who’s financially and emotionally independent.

If a girl is willing to cheat on their BF for me, then who's to say she wont think twice about cheating on me when we're together?

For me a girl who is willing to cheat is an instant no-no for a relationship but almost essential for a one night stand laugh alcohol usually blurs the lines. When alcohol isnt involved i'll never hit on a girl who has a bloke already. When alcohol IS involved then i wouldnt go as far as sex. I'd still say no unless:

a: I hated the guy she was with.
b: She was waay out of my league and the alcohol was 'leveling the playing field' laugh
c: Just a 1 night thing, as previously mentioned.

My morals usually fluctuate depending on how much i'm getting, so at the moment, i have no morals

If i knew she was attached to someone else it's a no-no for me, otherwise if it doesn't get mentioned i'm no detective and so proceed as if she's single

I once broke this rule with a girl who was in a (pretty miserable) relationship. I'm absolutely sure it would have ended anyway, but it's something I felt guilty about for quite a while, long after she and I parted. On the other hand, the girl got a half-a-million quid book deal for writing up the story, and subsequently met the love of her life, so I don't think she minded that much overall. Her ex would probably still have a pop at me though...

Clearly I would never wish to tarnish the image of a golden angel of our times, but frankly, I wouldn't have touched her with yours!

Although it did end badly in Paris...
