Does anyone know if the steering wheel 'thumb pads' (i.e. the bits that are red on an L.E. wheel) are easy to remove and swap over ?

Afraid they are not frown

they are foam sections that are bonded to the rubber of the steering wheel, the only way to remove is to carefully cut them off, then reglue afterwards.

It can be done, but I think you will be lucky to get the newer ones to fit back in place 100% accuratly....

They seem to be 'easier' to remove on the leather cladded ones you find on the LE's and Pluses..
