Well the missus has finally crumbled and is allowing me to look into getting Sky, only looking into it at the moment, but its one step closer!

I managed to sell this on the basis that LittleO will need to watch the Disney Channel, Nickoldean, F1 and baby tv.

So whats the best deal around, or how do I go about getting said deal?

Also, what package do I need, she is not fussed on any of the other sport channels, films would be OK.

So many options, so little time to understand every single one!!

Thanks y'all thumb

I have the basic 'bundle' (Terrestial, Sky 1 Sky news, Atlantic etc and 200 channels of crap!) + the Disney channel (for little bezzers). Costs me £20.50 a month.

This includes Sky+ box and at the time was free installation and activation.

Last summer I added the HD package (£10) and this will allows the F1 channel when it's launched laugh

Movies will cost an extra £16 a month.

Go onto the website, you can build your 'bundle' on there.

I've played this game 3 times and never received any vouchers. Be ready to chase Sky down if you really want them. frown

I was offered a £75 M+S voucher or £50 off my first bill. I went for the money off as otherwise I'd be buying stuff I don't need at M+S. I also got three months free Sky movies. You get free installation, HD box etc anyway I think. I pay £75 a month, but that includes every channel, Phone line rental and unlimited broadband. You get Sky anytime + if you have broadband and TV, which is really good. We have an Xbox in the bedroom and it's like sky multi-room but you don't pay anything as it's part of the package. It's a lot to pay a month, but we get a lot in return.

Coopless!

Well Sky is already installed, to a degree, we have a communal dish that we plug into, so there should be no installation cost.

We already get phone / BB from BT at a very good deal, so don't want that.

There is not a chance in hell I would pay £75 for it, Bezzers £30 qould be about my maximum, as all I do really want it for is the F1, so £30 x 12 months = £360 to watch a few races seems reasonable - no more though!

Wasn't there going to be some kind of option to watch for free over broadband?
I know my opinion isn't shared by everyone but it seems wrong to reward Sky for stealing the F1.

@ JimO - you think that your bb/bt deal is good, but combining it with Sky will probably result in a lower overall price but more involved.

For example - my bb and phone line is £19.50 a month, plus sky tv package, which is every channel plus HD package and multiroom with 2 HD boxes - £84 a month total, but with discount as I was thinking of downgrading the package, £70 a month. Result!! laugh

Obviously if you went for BB, Line Rental and basic Tv with HD pack, you would be paying circa £50 for the lot!

I think we pay £9.99 for BB and line, but this is a contactual tie-in to BT and if we leave we will have to pay the savings back to BT and this ties us in for 18 months. So I think leaving will mean we owe BT some money!

So on that basis, £50 a month is a £40 increase! Screw dat!!
