Time has come for me to sell my beloved vehicle, bought a house so she has to go. Im just wondering what I should expect to get for it.

Its a 2000(W) 20vt tuned to 378hp, looks totally standard apart from the exhaust and the standard alloys which have been refurbed and painted black chrome. Oh and its broom yellow.

It has full fiat history with 2 owners and 55000 miles. Interior it has the electric start, colour bumpers, recaro cloth seats with turbo stitching and its in very good condition. Also has a sound system with sub etc but that can all be removed.

So whats she worth

£500 - gimme your bank details and i'll transfer the cash later laugh

Seriously, sounds a nice car with a good spec but coops are cheap as chips at the moment. Modified, often even cheaper. If you got £2.5k for it i'd be surprised frown

It is a nice car, never had any problems with it. Ive probably only been doing about a thousand miles a year in it. 2.5k sounds very cheap. I guess if I put it back to standard I might get a bit more ?

Unlikely, not in the current market unfortunately.

However, price it where you want and hold out for that price, it is the only way for prices to turn around from the bargain basement stage they are in at the moment, well that and writing off a few hundred more in crashes! laugh

If the paint is good, the mods have been done properly using the correct parts and you dropped some leather seats in (I'm assuming they're not coupé recaros?) then I would stick it up for £3.5k-£4k. (Or should I say if I was in the market for a coupe then that's what I'd be willing to pay?)

*Black wheel might put me off.

put the car back to standard and sell all the performance parts and you get alot more money back but its the time and effort to do this that may put you off .

Thanks Stan.

The wheels are a black chrome 007, they dont look black. The seats are original coupe seats just quite rare, was thinking of the leathers seats (which i have a spare set of) but in all honesty these cloth ones are nicer

What are the mods, who has done them?

If its all by a coupe expert it may add value otherwise it will be worth less than a standard car?

Gotta think now, got the receipts for everything thats been done exept the live map which im sure Flee will admit to.

k & N, Hybrid, pro alloy front mount intercooler, bigger injectors (Flee), apexi AVC-R boost controller, blue flame exhaust straight to turbo, fuel pump and organic clutch fitted by Motormech. Full Fiat History.

Probably missed a few things out there, have to go through the paperwork

That looks and sounds a lovely car. It's all down to fate but if it had come up for sale a week ago I might not be a Brera owner shocked

Rob, your car is a well sorted and cherished car, I'd put it up at £4k. Would cost anyone looking to do a similar spec far more, and yours is finished and has been running that power safely some time now.

Good luck with the sale.

Don't go spending it on gliders!

Like Dan and Stan said price it at what you want and hold to that price . If it is a nice cared for coupe 3-4k would be good ,and still be cheaper then some one buying cheap one and doing same too.

I would leave it as is , as taking off any tuning items often may cost you. Which you may not be able to cover with sale. Plus if you dont have the standard item to replace will cost again.

As for full fiat service history nothing wrong with that , many on here dont like i expect to a few horry stories from people . The fiat main dealer in bristol is shocking , but i knew one of the techs who worked there, very skilled and on my first coupe fought his manger to give me what needed to be done under warrenty claim, and not the scanner couldnt find.
When my rad went i was leaking and the manger said no errors ever though it was leaking , i replyed you dont need scanner to see leak again tech i know challenged this and won.

BUT, at £2799 - look @ How Lukes old coupe has STILL not sold, GT30 etc etc....

Rubbish time to sell, My last had a stage 3 spec over 330bhp & went for £1250!

I agree chrissy but you can only try , rather then just putting it up at lower SOTW prices as of late.

How driveable is it with that sort of power and torque? Is it possible to pootle around offboost?

With the good publicity in Practical Classics and the wholesome praise and fond memories on PH's SOTW thread you could price it optimistically and see what response you get?

Look at the news, the economy isn't going anywhere anytime soon and many other nice motors are also dropping in value, it's not just Coupes.

Isn't it difficult to value without more pictures and more details on the modifications and service history? At the end of the day it's worth what someone is prepared to pay.

Also to add all views are totaly vaild .
But coupes of all different specs in different condition have changed hands for upto 3k difference in prices.
Sure alot of time you wont know what a car on pistonheads really sold for . But be the one to try if have option of no quick sale.
And to be fair it us on here who may have helped push the coupe into the SOTW status.

Thanks for the replies people, I dont really want to sell it but have to frown but if I cant get 3.5 - 4k then I will have to keep it.

It is totally driveable with the 2 settings on the boost controller Monza,it reduces the power by about 40 horse power or it can be turned off.

Don't beat yourself up too much. Look at last month's CAR Magazine piece on used £5K hot hatches, Golf V GTi, Clio 197, Focus ST (the 5 cyl turbo) and Mini Cooper S. This month they've gone on what seems a Porsche love in (makes a change from a BMW one) saying that we can get Boxster Ss for £6K. Cars depreciate and the times aren't rosy for many.

I dont beat myself up on it , i infact said Embrace the SOTW status on here in the price post other week.

Yes lots of cars can be had for cheap , but the coupe has now been SOTW twice and has been at rock bottom prices for a long time.

The GTV TS mentioned in the SOTW piece has increased in price.

But then the vendor has put 6 months road tax on it. wink

Yes, so was mine, when I bought it thre was 1700 miles on the clock, the tyres were noticeably worn, and the oil was on the minimum, but AFAIK it never featured in any magazine articles so hopefully it was spared a complete thrashing by journos...

Rob's car is fantastic, a very well looked after late model Coupe. The Recaro "Turbo" cloth seats are very rare, and are a real bonus to the overall package.

In terms of tuning, it's one of the most powerful Garrett RSR turbos out there (not a standard hybrid turbo). I have mapped this twice, the first time in March '09, so it has been running this power without any problems for almost three years now. The second time was a tweak for a change in exhaust. The car has bigger injectors and is setup for max 1.4bar boost.

A really fantastic Coupe with a great fast road setup that has been tuned and looked after correctly... can't ask for more than that.
