Hi,

I have had a post deleted as it 'looked like a for sale post'. So I'll try again.

I've been pulling apart my old 20vt today & have taken these items off of it. I have checked the paperwork and these are factory fitted items?

Can anyone shed any light?

I don't think anything but the gear gaitor is factory fitted there - maybe the experts know better crazy

The gear gaitor and the handbrake cover are Fiat "brio" accessories. The gearknob looks like a non-Fiat item to me

Not exactly common, but not ridiculously rare either

I believe these where accessories you could get from Fiat dealers, but not sure if they are the ones or not.

I hear they're kind of rare here. The "rumours" say that the handbrake cover, gearknob and gaitor's frame were from Fiat 'lineaccessori'. I know of some people looking for them, so I'd keep them, if I were you.

Regards,
CJ

I searched one of the part numbers in google & came across this titled 'les accessoires lineacessori du coupe'.

http://membres.multimania.fr/cabrio/coupefiat/tuning/accessorri/page2fr.htm

The handbrake, gear knob & gaitor are all on there, but something that I really haven't seen before is on the lower left of the page when you scroll down.... Centre console wood kit!? Does this actually exist?

I've never seen the genuine wood kit, but yes, I believe it was optional and does exist.

But it's all right; once it's been sprayed black you can hardly tell the difference...

Ah the old wood affect...

I remember wanting the rear blinds and yellow car cover.

Keep hold of them or sell them as Fiat options.

Thanks for those links - My car has the Proxel Parking Sensor fitted from new (I've got the receipt!) but did not realise until now it was an official factory option. Not that I trust it!

What does the install look like on your car Nello?

Its completely invisible - The system works using a magnetic strip thats fitted to the inside of the rear bumper. The only indication its there is the audible bleaps on reverse (though as mentioned I do not trust it!) and theres a small controll box in the lower left hand side of the boot. I'll dig out the receipt from my paper work bundle to find the cost. It was fitted to my car pre-delivery by the dealer.

Interesting!

I had heard of parking sensors being on the car but never seen a set of factory fitted. Especially on an LE.

Cool cool

Amazing! First case that I know of. I also didn't know that the parking sensors were Fiat optional for the Coupe. And what year is your LE, Nello?

'98 matey. I'll try and get some photos of the setup. As mentioned the proxel system does not have any visible sensors.

Thanks! smile

I think that after all, and in spite of its age, the Coupe was a rather well equiped car... with the extras, of course. But, still, good to know they're out there. thumb

Interesting post and love the info seeing the fiat options, never seen that before.

One of my LE's came with

The cycle rack
Rear blinds
Parking sensors
Gator surround
Handbrake

Would love a couple of those covers and the gear knob would finish the car.

peter, great reading and must be the best "fiat-specced" car around! but note gearknob is only marked for a 5spd car, not conducive for a 6-cogged LE...

Had the handbrake, gear knob and gear surround on my 1st coupe. They should come with a pair of gloves, they get annoyingly COLD on a winter morning and I wished I hadn't bothered with that particular "upgrade".

Didn't spot it was only a 5 speed.

One of my Pluses has an aftermarket 6 speed knob and looks spot on. I'll load a picture tomorrow, see what you think.
