This one has been up for sale several times over the last 6 months, from the same seller.

It's sold twice before for more money. Check out the negative feedback.

sold twice? I only know of one (apart from recent).... I spoke to him about that, apparently person wanted to pick up the car, Rob (the owner) wanted to get a new MOT on for him but would take a few days, the guy didnt want to wait....and so on and son on...then the buyer pulled out. I guess we'll never really know.

Barbz said the car was sound and that the body was great and ,like me, couldnt understand why he spent all that money on the rebuild to let it go so quickly.

I dont really understand why the car wasnt put up for sale on here as I believe Rob is a member (although I dont know his user id and couldnt find anything about it on here.... which I found a little strange)

I was consdiering buying it, but the money he was selling it for £4k was out of budget.... funnily enough it sold for what I offered....he would have got more money taking my offer as no Ebay?payPal fees etc.

When speaking to Rob he sounded very passionate about it and came accross really sound, it just sounds like he was mucked around by possible buyers. If the sale falls through again due to someone on Ebay wasting his time he's gong to to contact me and accept my offer....provided Im still looking for one as Im not goiong to put things on hold looking ;0)

Rob is banned if I remember correctly, his name was ktm250 or something like that.

Its been on ebay loads, last time I think someone clicked buy it now if you look at the bidding history but the it appeared again a week later.

I'm fairly certain it will pop up on ebay again

it would be interesting to know if he is, When I spoke to him I didnt ask if he was. He seemed very upfront with things anyhow.

Looking at the Ebay add the car is in Berkshire, Rob (ktm) lives near me so I'm pretty sure it isn't him.

It is definitely not KTM, can't remember who he is though.

Robs user name was RMJ.
I met Rob when I had to collect some parts I bought off him as he wasn't able to post them due to size. He was a nice enough guy to meet to say hello to.
Some time afterwards he had his selling rights removed as he pissed off a few members due to stuff not been sent out.
Allegedly. judge
He disappeared from the forum and then his car went on ebay and sold, then his car went on ebay and sold and again ebay and sold.

There is no such thing as a good coupe. Just one that will either cost you a lot of money to run, or a LOT of money to run. laugh

Thanks alot, reading that I now have both sides of the story. I was told (by Rob) that the buyer got annoyed at having to wait a couple of days so he could get an MOT as the buyer had already pd in full for it. He didnt mention at all if had failed an mot.

I have been in alot of contact with Rob over the past 2 weeks about this car and whilst it was on ebay - We did agree on a price (obviously subjject to viewing and giving it a once over) however he wanted to see what happend in auction first.

As you can see the aauction makes no mention of any body damage even right to the very end.

I got a call from him one night telling me his sister had hit the rear quarter and damaged the car, which was going to cost in the region of £300 to fix (photos were even sent to me, it didnt look bad but it was there) so as a result he would knock the money off our agreed price if the car doesnt sell on ebay.

Obviously it has sold, but Id be suprised if the "new" owner doesnt pull out - reason, at no point on the ebay auction did he update the add to say its been damaged whilst the auction was running. - So the buyer will be in for a suprise when he gets in contact, unless an after auction deal will be made???

Again, he came across really genuine, and maybe he is....just maybe parts of the car arent fully upto scracth as perceive in the auction description and previous selling feedback.

I can say he seamed very nervous at the fact people were bidding on the car and no one has even viewed it, so mentioned that if it does sell he will be suprised - 3rd time lucky maybe????

Ill be still watching to see if it actually is sold.

Oh boy; this sounds quite dodgy! Looks a nice car, but for that money it REALLY needs to be sorted. At least I knew with my last two (total cost for the two £1.4K) that the bills would come but I would know that they were relatively sorted.

Note to self, next time
Join forum
See if I can find out any history on the car/owner
Then buy make a decision sick

Rob seemed a pretty straight, the things he has said all tied up to what has allready been mentioned.

There was however no mention of the bodywork damage, he Is a very lucky lad that after my 160mile trek in a diesel polo there was not a new rob shaped dent on the coupe! Tbf it is fairly minimal but non the less was definatly there, I always had intentions of getting it back to mint so it was not that much of an issue....I was more Intrested with what was under the bonnet.....I'm already wanting even more power though.

I am however a little concerened I can't find too much about it on here though evil have these been removed for a reason?? Or was rob not a big user of the forum until he wanted to pull a few dodgy deals?

So yeah I am the new owner of robs coupe and it's now located in Norwich, i paid a little more than I wanted to buy over all I'm happy with it. I've got a few plans for it......it's just a case of weather I can part with my R1 to found it. We will see what the summer brings.
