Right, just been wondering whether I should fit a mbc in my 16VT. You know it Joe - the pressure before Bedford is rising:P

Issues I am thinking of:
- air temps while I'm running standard IC?
- comp won't be able to lower the boost level should it needed to go into the limp mode?
- fueling (too lean or too rich)?
- what boost should I run?
- how much bhp am I going to gain?

Thanks,
Jack

Right,

what boost are you running now?

has it been mapped?
has it been on a rolling road before?

personaly, i wount not touch the car.
Track days are a lot for a road car to deal with.. your better off not touching her and going as she is.

If you turn the boost up with out checking the fueling.. who knows what can happen....

just fight Joe with the power you have laugh

i will be there to fight your corner laugh

I am running standard boost, never been mapped or on a RR before. I know that the engine is healthy, compression tested, belts and seals done so ready to be modded. Maybe I will leave it as if for Bedford just to make the fight fair. That said, I would like to know peoples' views re mbc...

mbc or bleed valve is a tool to increase the boost ONLY! without corresponding adjustments in fuelling and ignition youre driving a ticking timebomb to be honest, youd be better off getting a stage 1 chip sent to you, perfectly safe and will give you that little extra.
