As of this moment in time....

the UK's only Metalic sprint blue 20vt is dead.

she has lost over a liter of oil in 360 miles, oil pressure is none existant and.. yep.. you guessed it.

Shes knocked. frown cry

so as it stands...

Wheres the matches?

its such a shame.
The car has been undergoing massive wrench time, it was all perfect to go see flea Thursday.

But in sods law and pure unlucky sh*t times.

She has died.

what a great start to 2012.

it seems when ever i plan to go spa.. it goes wrong.

heart broken? i think i am...
do i care any more?
No.

So, sadly i have to say, as it stands... JBT, McMike and every one else who said i wount make it to spa.. your bloody right...but what a crap way to go out...with a knock.

frown

Chin up Marco, you've got an expert making an offer you can't refuse. You've helped me out enough time, let others give you a hand!

Forget about it for a day or two and reappraise the situation. I'm sure you'll see it fixed!

Seems simple to me?

Joe pop on down (collect me on the way), Mario come on up with Dan. Marco stand there and try to look pretty and we'll have the situation sorted in no time.

Don't be fraido. Call Joe now and arrange a day. Just let me know asap and I will get time off work.

You will be making tea though. Oh and some of those little cakes?

there is no leak.

when i noticed the pressure dropping faster than a lead weight i pulled off the M1 onto a layby and checked the oil and saw nothing in it.

topped it up, oil pressure increased slightly but the damage is done.
The knocking was tehre.

also she turns over "lightly" which makes me think there is a compression issue also.

Mine died at the start of the new year, so I know how you feel.

I was in the same position, wondering whether it was worth saving, and mine was no where near as nice as yours!

Trailered her to Joe and decided to go for it, I know the work I've done on mine, and buying a new coop would just leave me in a position where I might have to change other stuff, and there would be no guarantee that the engine won't go the same way the week after. At least with a good 2nd hand lump and a bit of Joe's magic, you'll have an engine you can rely on for quite a while!

I bit the bullet and went for it and after a few hiccups along the way (turbo related!) it's running tighter than a drum now smile

plus my oil pressure is bloody lovely.

I'd recommend value noodles too.

I hope you haven't replied because you are on the phone to Joe.

People stop being nice to Marco. He doesn't understand if you are nice to him.

He needs a good hard slap and to be told what is going on, he works best that way.

its not worth a penny like this.

if it nevers comes back on the road... its going to be a nice garden ornament with a BBQ in the engine bay.

hell.. it will be quicker than what it was any way.

Very sorry to here this marco, chin up and given the money you have spend on the body work, I think you should dig deep and find the extra for an engine thumb

Were you not selling this some time ago?

just got the car out of storage and got the car ready for spa..

recently i did silicone water pipes, proted manifold, ported throttle body. oil change, new fuel filer and a load of other parts.

Gutted for you Marco, but you've got to get yourself to Spa and experience it at least once! Even if you get the car fixed then sell it as soon as you get back!!

Gutted for you Marco and i don't think anybody knows how you're feeling better than i do right now. I wanted to kick mine to pieces, set fire to the parts and then watch it rot in hell. I couldn't take that course because you, Mario, Sedicilashes, Joe, JBT, T, Porky-tourettes and the rest wouldn't let me - it's this community, these people, that make it all special not just your beautiful car (and bird wink ).

Take Joe's offer up mate, it's a great offer genuinely meant and also take eveyone else's offer of help. I had the help from JBT, you accept it from Joe, job done.

Come to Spa even if its as a passenger, i'll buy you some beers as will the rest of the guys.

This is the Hotel California mate, you can check in any time you like, but you can never leave......... laugh

As for me having deep pockets, you're right - they're deep because there's nothing in them!!
