Never thought I'd be starting a thread with those words, but here we are!

I want to obtain such an item (don't even ask!) and I need to understand what the dimension figures mean. The first is the wheel diameter, but then the 1.5 - 1.9 means what?

BTW if anyone has an old inner tube, even if not working, please let me know.

That bit refers to the size of the profile/width of the tyre. Only one number unlike a car.

I've plenty of old tubes if you're wanting one?

Best bet might be going to a local bike shop and asking for one out of the bin if it doesn't need to be air tight - I'm sure if you stick a quid in the charity box they'd be more than happy!

Edited to add: Also there are 2 main different types of valve, presta and schrader.

Schrader a the same as on a car, presta are the smaller ones that you have to unscrew 1st.

OK - thanks.

I need a length of tube, no valve. So if you have a tube that could be stretched over a 2" diameter cylinder that would be perfect. In fact, I'll be more specific: The unstretched diameter needs to be less than 40mm and the stretched diameter at least 60mm. If you have, please PM me. Thanks. smile
