Can't you get a tape measure out and measure the hole under the bonnet, or even dare I say it, measure the engine that's sitting on the floor, or haven't you taken it out yet?

BTW 145 kg is what the ePer parts CD says (other part numbers say 130 or other lesser amounts, so I'd go with that)

I bet its 145kg plus ancillaries, so alternator, aircon pump, inlet manifold, fuel rail, engine mounts etc. etc. will add to that as when they ship an engine from fiat it has none of this stuff

sorry daveg, the engine isn't out until saturday. and the car is 20 miles away at the garage. i just wanted to get some quick quotes so i can get the engine to trevor asap for the best price. i'll go with 130kg then, and give some rough figures for size. thanks a lot guys.

I`ll measure the engine up for you tonight, if no one else does in the meantime.

The 145kg is just for the bare engine without ancillaries. No manifolds, turbo etc etc

Strange. On a car that weighs 1310 kgs, I'd of thought the engine would be a bigger percentage of that weight.
