This is exactly me. My brother received the extrovert gene can easily talk to people in any situation where as I do just zone out and prefer one to one company.

Another introvert here. Can't cope in a group of any more than 4 people, to the extent that i feel a physical need to leave. Thought it was just me. Got 2 very extrovert brothers.

So annoyingly. Though on the positive side you can always rely on them to go and talk to people that you dont want to.

I like chatting to people and meeting people, although not in a 'centre of attention' way, but like to be able to get away if I need to also.

No, far from it

For some unidentified reason, I can't stay in with a conversation that involves more than three people. I just fade out and no-one talks to me.

Do they know who you are?

Apparently not, but I can tell you that turning up to the pub in my outfit doesn't help.

Extrovert. I prefer a group than one to one.

Bit of both really but mainly smaller groups of people are better

tend towards introvert, although the last few years my job has involved more large meetings and presentations so have had to find a way to do it. There's a few on here who may disagree with that, but that's just the "power" of alcohol

That's nothing to do with being introverted or extroverted. I'm 100% comfortable contributing to large meetings, which I do regularly, and speaking to large audiences does not bother me in the least. In fact I quite enjoy it. I'm definitely an introvert, though, and identify with a lot of the comments above.

I know that feeling. I think the problem may be (and please correct me if i'm wrong, more talkative people) that in a social setting, silence is often mistaken for either ill nature or stupidity.

Am surprise no-one has yet quoted a phrase old Abe Lincoln made famous:
