Irritating isn't it. Scaremongering leading to panic. Annoyingly the people who know the facts rather than hear the hype suffer irrespective. I think you should be refused fuel if you can't state some simple facts about the planned strikes. Luckily it doesn't affect me

The tanker drivers WILL go on strike that is 99.99% guaranteed, but i dont understand why the government has created a stir by telling people to top up for fear of running out.

Cos they are idiots.... For the most part.
I remember a tale many years ago about how a guy filled up a wheely bin full of the stuff in preparation....then stored it next to his gas cooker.....

Its almost as if the government want to engineer a panic to create a stick to beat the union with isn't it? This exactly and the added bonus that this story will deflect the tough questioning on the cash for access scandal.... Spin you have to love it!

Is this a Southern thing? I put petrol in my wife's car when I went out shopping this morning and petrol in my car this afternoon, when I popped out to buy all of the things I'd forgotten in the morning shop - no sign of the petrol stations being busier than usual on either visit.
Oh, and I wasn't panic buying - both cars had the fuel lights on when I stopped for petrol.
Dear monos, a secret truth.

He said his colleague had not understood the size of a jerrycan, which can hold 20 litres - more than the official limit for the amount that can be safely stored at home. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-17533151Just as an interesting aside - the Govt has issued an official limit to what can safely be stored at home ??? That's really funny. How on earth would they be able to reason that a small can of petrol in the garage would be safe, whilst two would not?

Well seems as though we're pretty low on fuel where I live. Reports of no diesel in most stations and little or no petrol I won't be putting any in until Friday or Saturday, as usual, if there's any left lol. Did you leave a jerry can in the outside toilet?

Actually I started my panic buying when the press started warning about the dangers of panic buying at the weekend. In this case when it comes to causing a panic, the Government are behind the times. Unfortunately with the miles I do, it doesn't matter if there's a shortage caused by greedy robbing striking tw ats a tanker driver strike or stupid panicking drivers adding £5 of fuel to the tank which will last them the next 3 months. If I was a cynic I'd have to agree with: This exactly and the added bonus that this story will deflect the tough questioning on the cash for access scandal....
In fact I am. And I do.

Fuel Crisis !!!
Obviously there isn't one but I am torn.
On the one hand I dont want to look like the rest of the sheep.
But on the other hand I only have a thimble full left.
what to do.....

I think we need a (hot pie based) revolution ! Aye, it will be an impressive sight as all of the sausage-junkies from my neck of the woods stage a massive march to Westminster, and a good thing that Queen Elizabeth hospital, 2 miles from the Angel of the North, has a cardiac unit.

Well my petrol light has just come on and ive been to 3 Shell garages in my area, one was completely out of fuel and the other 2 only had diesel. Luckily I dont live to far from work but I do need some V-Power and I cant get any at the minute.
Everyone has gone bonkers. I think once people drive past a petrol station and see a queue of cars they think 'Oh, I better top up' even though there are probably lots of people out there that still had plenty.
Now in the 400+ bhp club!

No diesel left in Hemel; three garages I tried closed completely... astonishingly, the only place that had fuel within ten miles of home was from Total - the company that's currently filling the North Sea up with LPG!
The *genius* in front of me put £6.31 in... I wouldn't have made it to work and home tomorrow if I didn't fill up this evening. I put in £89 of diesel but the number of people only putting in £15 - £20 was unbelievable. I bet the majority only drive 100 miles a week too.

A lot of people are retarded sheep, and I resent sharing the roads with them.
They are probably the same people that fill a trolley with bread and milk at the first suggestion of snow.
