I've noticed this a lot recently......

a lot of people turn their heads to look at the Coop...but when you look at them, they then quickly turn their heads the other way to make it look as if they aren't checking your car out! rofl

But the funniest one is when you have drivers around your nearside/offside rear areas - when they are behind you, they will stare at your car and then soon as they are parallel to you, its eyes and head straight ahead!

Of course some people will keep staring for ages to the extent that it becomes almost uncomfortable! laugh

I caught a few people head turning to look at my car earlier. They were probably thinking 'who is the noisy git with the silly exhaust and whooshing turbo?''. hehe

One thing I've noticed is that the colour of the car really affects how many heads that turn!

Green 16VT - Not many looking at all.
Sprint Blue 20VT with bling alloys - LOADS of heads swivel
Steel Grey 20VT - The odd person taking a second look
Moon Grey 20VT - More than the Steely, but not Sprinty level.

So there you have it. If you like to be centre of attention, Sprint Blue is for you! I'd wager though that Broom Yellow could be the ultimate for any 'attention whore' laugh

Mine's a "speed rosso" red and I find it gets loads of looks, but a neighbour has an inky blue, which gets a lot less looks (although I always look at it!). Both are VT6's.

I'm sure you're right that broom yellow will get most looks, but I think that speed rosso will come second, slightly ahead of a sprinty.

Don't mean to diss the scotty, but even I wouldn't look!

Regards
Pigman

Tell me about it, I've noticed a lot of people looking at my car now, especially parking it up. Usually come back finding someone looking inside.

The cashier at the petrol station said that I had a nice looking Ferrari today.

I think it's the colour for those that swing both ways!

Caught quite a few folk checking out my scotty, but that may be because it's the only Coop in the area, so they've no other colours to drool over. smile

I definitely agree with this! smile - I've had 4 coupes, 2 sprint blues, a broom yellow & electric blue plus - and the plus (supposidly 'top dog' in the coupe world) got the least amount of looks wink ... by a preverbial mile

Also I thinks those two colours definitely are enhanced the best by the fitment of LE/zender skirts & aftermarket alloys

... And yes I DO want a broom yellow Plus (or a sprint blue VT6) but now I have got the house on my own, I can forget it

Plus my current 20VT is low mileage & in fantastic condition wink

Same with my ink black. It hardly attracts any attention except from the few people who know what it is.

My orange one turned many heads, for a start its a rare colour for any car, then theres people who dont know what car it is + people who do know what the car is but have never seen an orange one.

Having had broom yellow, speed red and ink black coupes, yellow is easily the most attention grabbing one. People let you out of junctions, thumbs up off people, wave at you or just stand there and stare at it haha. Speed red, bit more subtle but still lots of attention and ferrari comments, people cutting you up etc or tailgating. Ink black, bit of a stealthy one, admiring glances and night time even had a group of women in a limo shout out the window 'nice ferrari' haha smile. Need to get another soon!

I agree with this too. Came out the petrol station to one person dribbling at it and two others in a beemer driving past it at 1 mph staring at it lol. Its de-badged all round too so don't think people even know what it is prob think it's a kit car or something!

Yep. I cranned my neck checking out a Broomy
on the A131 (Essex) today.

Even my grey coupe gets plenty of looks in Brentwood
high street, especially when i have to stop at
the zebra crossing, doh those red lights again ,damn it.

wink

The Fiat Coupe.

Turning more motorist and pedestrian heads since 1994 than a dirty billboard sign.

Yep! Short of supercars, not many cars turn heads, grab your attention like coupes smile. Due to their rarity and stunning unique design
