Back in December i sold my Coupe to a chap on the forum, who i stay in touch with and got myself an Alfa 156 2.4JTD.
As i'm traveling more miles to work i had to be realistic and get something cheaper to run.
I got a phone call last week from him, saying he was selling the Coupe. He needs a super sensible car for his new job and can't justify owning 2 cars.
For the 4 months or so he has had the car, hardly any miles have been added. The car has done 174k but the engine only 50k and the car was really looked after by me and it's previous long term owner before hand plus it has full history to hand.
I firstly refused, my head firmly in charge of this decision, knowing i need to keep running a diesel.
I kept thinking it over for a few days, and suddenly my heart was making the decisions. It dawned on me when i looked through autotrader and pistonheads that there really aren't many good ones left. I also believe i wont find a better example, knowing all the work i put into it.
Suddenly within moments i have agreed to buy it back, and his friend is buying my Alfa off me, which works out perfectly. I know i'm going back to an older car, 30mpg instead of 45mpg, but there is something about them, i just can't keep away!!
Just a couple of pictures of the car before i sold it (ignore the extra long exhaust, thats shorter now

)
I might be doing the wrong thing...but i can't stand the thought of it being sold on to a random person who may rag it and kill the car. I have sold one good Coupe before and regretted it... Trix138, if your reading

So i guess...i am almost back!!
