pretty sure they remain valid as such for 3 years, but they stay on your licence for 4 years, best bet is just to tell Sarah what points you have and she will be best placed to advise whether they will effect your insurance

Hi just best to be honest as alot of people now have points so not to much of a issue. It's 3 years on your lience and most insurance is 5 years but they will ask you. I know due to a lot of practice on this area rolleyes

IME they ask for the past 5 years, but I've not received any loading for 5 points (the max I've had in one go).

Points are valid for 3 years, will remain on your licence for 4 years, and must be declared to your insurance company for 5 years.

Thats what I was told anyway! laugh

Points added about £100 to my insurance. One speeding fine costed me about £600 over the years before I could forget about telling the insurance companies..
