i really miss my yellow plus and this forum. how is everyone?

i've been considering getting back on the coupe wagon yet again over the last few months.

alot of new members i see now.

the plus i bought from solo a few years back didn't say plus on the log book so that don't mean to say this isn't a proper plus, i heard (probably on here) that not all coupe plus and le's were registered properly in the first place.

this still happens today with fiat for example the mrs grande punto t-jet sport is registered as "sport" but when we went to insure it as the sport model the insurance companies had the car as sporting.

i know thats mostly right but some refused to insure it as "sport" even though it is on the log book. totally frustrating, i have no idea why there was such a problem.

What are the issues? If I'd wanted another Coupe I'd have been round the corner to look at this in a shot.

Just for info, this car is mine now, thanks JBT. laugh

Picked it up from John on Saturday. Got my favourite Coupé now, so how could it get better? Well, twice the power would be good, but I think that this car should be kept standard if possible.

Before collection, JBT fitted new discs and pads all around, new timing belt and tensioner, replaced brake lines, new handbrake cables, full valet and much more. Thanks again John.........it's a lovely car! laugh

Sorted it for you Pete.
If you change cars again go to My Stuff > change preferences > click on use standard avatar, then click on the avatar you want, then click apply.

I see that you're also one of the special breed that likes the loudest of all Coupés, but also the prettiest!

Hi Dave,

If the weather and roads stay dry enough for me to clean/polish it and get it to a nice location, I'll take some pics. Next job will be to work out how to get them posted, but I'll worry about that later.

They're not common, according to JBT, as only 5 Plus models were made in Broom Yellow (presumably 5 in UK) and since Doody sold his to a non member, I think you and I have the only ones on here.

I think that the launch Coupé was broom yellow and it was a popular colour for earlier Coupés, but like so many car manufacturers, Fiat added a load of other mainly metallic colours, so when the Plus came out very few Yellow, Speed Red or Sprint Blue ones were made.

This makes me appreciate mine more and I feel very fortunate to own it.

Any other Yellow Pluses out there?

Regards
Pete

Allegedly only 5 remain, that are plus and not vt6.

That's the only one I have seen for years.

Good to see it back on the road and back in use, I did a night drive to have a look at it a few years back and it looked in a very sorry state.

Still not as nice as Vinci, but nice all the same.
