Agreed Reuben,but bloody bad show from the Spa organisers. They must have got a better date /show for June i reckon. The priority that the circuit sells time to event organisers is 1) Formula 1 2) Other race events 3) Other events, such as SpaItalia. Taken fron the circuit website

They have a record number of participants registered for 2012. So doesn't sound too bad. Record numbers sounds good, but from the exhibitors list you can count the number of De Tomaso's (for example) on one hand. To me, that's disappointing, but of course I'm still excited and hope it's just as good as last year.

About £65 a year if bought separately from insurance from memory.

Ok, the Pantera was a 'featured' car for its 30th anniversary, but clearly the owners weren't inspired enough to register again for this year. I distincly remember there being a fair few Lamborghinis last year but only 4 on the exhibitor list this year.

At least there's lots of coupés going and we'll have a good laugh - i know i'm not a proper petrol-head, but to me this event is more a social occasion than car show, however much i like to see and hear the expensive machinery we saw last year

Looking at the exhibitors list on the SpaItalia website, there doesn't seem to be very many of the more exotic supercars registered... Does that indicate that there will be a poorer turnout than last year - maybe due to the earlier date? Probably due to the fact that i overtook most of them last year and they didnt like being beaten by a 15 year old coupe worth £1500 driven by a fat bald bloke. Klaas those Uno drivers were nuts.Seen better driving on a Wednesday night in Halfords car park.

Grrrr... just discovered that Green Flag (the original, with whom I have been a member for at least twenty years, not the recent Direct Line upstart of the same name) won't cover the coupe for continental recovery on grounds of age - over 15 years...
Channel Tunnel won't do it either, same reason.
Suggestions? After searching some more I have found something, available until 17 years old - give me a call, sorry I cannot call you, cannot locate your number!

Seriously the other issue is you were going friday weren't you? We're all down at Ashford thursday night so there's logistics issues. No need to miss out though, there's loads of spare seats in cars - yes i have T with me so my axles are overloaded, but hey something's gotta break it eh? It's like transporting a bleedin great Hippo around but with less manners
