Not better than using any of the normal attachments (the one which is very pointed at one end was just as "good" as the sandblaster). Yes sand came out but did sod all. If you want to get round the hosepipe ban then buy the attachment that lets you suck up water from a bucket/ fill large bucket with water / avoid fine.
