Yeh, I had a 15" alpine sub in my boot back in the day. I had to remove the plastic boot trim (and CD player) to get it in. Didn't have much space left in the boot though

im picking up my 15inch sub at weekend and will make the box in the boot lol you will need to build a box with the correct volume for the sub. sealed boxes require less volume but generally do not drop as low

10" is perfect for the coupe, with the apropreiate amp. For my set up. i have used the inside of the rear left wing to muld a box in fibreglass, with MDF to the face of it and fitted a 10" Infinity sub that is ran by a JBL amp fitted to the back seat: nice bass, no loss of space whatsoever. I then used a seperate amp to run a pair of Infinity Kappa components speakers at the front, with the twetters mounted in the position of the factory ones.
The result looks very good to the eyes, and punchy to the ears. As for the pecs of the devices used, your pocket will set the limit

I'd like something similar to what you've described. I currently have a 12" sub but it takes up way too much boot space, but a 10" sub that is nice and discrete would be ideal.

I'd be interested to hear the difference between your setup's and mine (the 10" sub in the boot space).
I have front components and tweets, with 2 amps, 1 under each seat, 1 for the front components and 1 for the rear 6x9 subs mounted in the rear speakers space.
Very good overall sound, with NO loss in space at all, and bass is running a nice comfortable level, but can be whacked up to ridiculously loud also.
